Center AC vents blowing warmer air28 Jun 2004 10:20 GMT7
Here's a strange problem. With the A/C running the air coming from the 2
center dash outlets is a good 10 degrees warmer than the side ducts. In most
cars the entire face-level ductwork is a one-piece affair meaning all the
air comes from one source. Does Volvo have some kind of ...

FS : 740 estate 2.0 automatic '91 in UK27 Jun 2004 18:21 GMT16
Selling my 740 GL, it's got 86,030 on the clock at this precise moment,
fully serviced, 11 months MOT, five months Tax.
It's in Dunfermline, Scotland. New exhaust for the MOT, everything works on
this car including the headlight wash wipes, and the tailgate lock.
240 wheel track?27 Jun 2004 14:02 GMT5
Chatting with someone who "knows" about Volvos the other day, and he said
that one of the reasons for the poor handling of the 200 series was because
the rear track is narrower than the front. The implication being that one
way to improve the handling is to fit wheel spacers at the ...

Volvo 940 air conditioning fan blow to floor when accelerating27 Jun 2004 02:11 GMT23
My 1994 Volvo 940, 4 cylinder (not turbo) air conditioner is acting
strangely. Normally, I set the air condition fan blowing from the front on
dashboard onto the face of driver and passenger.
When I accelerate the car, the fan switched blowing to the floor from the
2002 V70 Station Wagon27 Jun 2004 00:23 GMT3
V70 Volvo owners.  I have an opportunity to purchase this wagon (Automatic
trans., 6 cylinder, AWD) with 64k miles (it was a leased vehicle).
Am curious to hear from volvo owners how they like this model year (or
similar). Is this a reliable volvo model?  Are there any common ...
240 rear suspension improvements?26 Jun 2004 16:05 GMT5
In a few weeks I'm planning on (finally) having some service done on the
(non-original) rear axle of my 92 240 wagon.  Specifically, the reluctor
ring will be changed to match the car's computer so accessories like the
speedometer will work.

xc70 d526 Jun 2004 13:10 GMT1
I'm almost coming to the point that I will buy the XC70.
So, why should I not buy it?
Geartronic or manual?
And what's that thing with the cartelephone. It just doesn't browse
Fuel Pressure Regulator? 940 Auto 2LTR 8-Valve 1991 (UK)25 Jun 2004 15:07 GMT3
My 940 has been running fine, only just lately causing problems when the
engine is already warm. To keep it going I have to rev it up a little,
gradually easing off the throttle until "normal" tickover is established. I
can even tell when it will stall as the rev counter "hunts" ...
850: perpetual imbalance25 Jun 2004 14:24 GMT2
New tires or worn.   Machine balanced or on-car.  It still shakes
heavily at above 60 MPH.
Earlier this week I jacked up each front corner and spun the wheel
under engine power and noted that the left side vibrated MUCH more
