I have the opportunity to purchase an 86 Volvo DL 240 from a friend. I was very impressed with the performance of the car considering its age. One major issue is keeping me from purchasing this car. When I turn on the ac/heater, nothing happens. What could be the causes and of ...

I saw a "new" V70R the other day at the local Volvo dealer, msrp at US $37,900+ change. As I was reading the window sticker for options. it was obviously loaded, I saw the horse power rating for the vehicle and as I recall it was 300HP.

| '04 S60R any input???? | 03 Aug 2004 17:47 GMT | 5 |
I think I might just pony up the $34k for one of these 300hp puppies. If anyone knows any grievous caveats, do tell now. I'd be under warranty for a good stretch but nevertheless don't wish to frequent the dealer. If I understand, they have the venerable 5 cylinder cranking out ...

Help! One day my wife's '98 S70's A/C was fine, the next day, blowing hot air. Climate Control fuse is OK. I jumpered the A/C relay, and the compressor clutch engages, and the compressor runs. With engine running and AC on, did not get 12V at the AC relay terminals.

| keyless remote cracked case | 02 Aug 2004 14:05 GMT | 5 |
My 1998 S70 keyless remote (part 9166200) has a cracked case. The remote works fine, but I am afraid that moisture or dirt could more easily damage the delicate electronics. The local Volvo dealership can sell me a new remote ($112, if I recall correctly), but tells me that no ...
