Just ran accross an 84 760 Turbo diesel for sale sort of locally, very
cheap, under a grand.
Seller tells me it's pretty beat up interior wise, and some crinkles
in the body in various places, a little rust around sunroof, etc.

1989 240 Squeaky front suspension01 Aug 2004 04:25 GMT9
I've seen some posts about this in my archive searching but I haven't
been able to resolve this yet. I have a squeak that can be reproduced

Does anyone have any suggestions for the complete removal of a car's clearcoat?  Our 240 is now 20 years old and the clearcoat is coming off is patches, it looks like scabs.  I would like to remove all the clearcoat and just wax the car.
Thanks
1986 240 re-manufactured steering rack01 Aug 2004 01:50 GMT2
A buddy of mine has a defective rack in his 240 and needs a good
replacement. Something like a re-manufactured one with a steel sleeve
inside would be great, but he'll take what he can get.
Any tips as to a good place to get one from?
