| Update on my '96 850 rebuilted transmission-need help please | 17 Oct 2004 18:21 GMT | 3 |
Hello all, about two weeks ago I posted some comments and question about the need to rebuild a transmission on my '96 850. My pre-estimates were anything from $1,750 from a small tranny shop, to $ 4,000 from a Volvo dealer. Other tranny shops were asking about $ 2,600 or $ 3,000.

| DIN Plug pin outs on '94 850 Radio? | 17 Oct 2004 14:31 GMT | 5 |
I have a '94 850 that has the model SC-810 radio installed. I want to connect my Sat Receiver's audio to it. I figure that the easiest way would be through the DIN plug for the CD player.

| Leaking onto the fusebox ('91 240) | 16 Oct 2004 23:31 GMT | 3 |
I have what I believe to be a common problem with my 1991 240 SE Estate - water is leaking all over my fuse box. Does anybody have any ideas where it gets in, and how I best stop it happening? The car has been plagued with it all its life (I've had it since '97 anyway)

| Can you swap...? | 16 Oct 2004 23:27 GMT | 2 |
The passenger seat onto the drivers side on a 240? My drivers seat is totally knackered and seeing as a passenger seat is optional I could swap them round and leave the passenger seat out for the MOT. Any ideas?

| Diffcult to clean a throttle body (87 740 Turbo)? | 16 Oct 2004 03:19 GMT | 7 |
For most intents I'm a newbie mechanic. I can do the basics (changing a tyre :P), oil, air filter, etc. I'm trying to improve the shape of this 87 740 Turbo I purchased a few weeks ago. It stalls when idling after a cold start if it's really cold.

| Fuel injector, replace tip cover, or just seals? 240 '86 | 16 Oct 2004 03:19 GMT | 2 |
My parts store sells a Bosch fuel injector seal kit for my '86 240 which includes 4-5 pieces, 3 seals, a small gray round plastic thing which looks like a spacer, and a plastic cap with a pin hole in it which I believe covers the end of the injector. Do I need all of these parts, ...

| Tranny lifespan on '89 245 | 16 Oct 2004 03:13 GMT | 7 |
The manual tranny on my '89 245 just died with little warning, eg from a slight noise to undrivable within about two weeks. The car has 169xxx miles on it. 1) This strikes me as somewhat soon for a failure of the gearbox. What

| Quick question Re: 240 Base-model trim | 15 Oct 2004 19:57 GMT | 16 |
I have noticed in looking at other 240s around town that many (if not most) of them have black plastic trim approximately 4" (10cm) wide running along the bottom of the doors where they meet the rocker panels. Since my 240 (1983 Turbo) doesn't have this feature and since
