S-80 vs 74021 Nov 2004 10:14 GMT12
I have an 86 740 non turbo with 330,000 miles.  It's in good shape, but is
sneaking up on it's third tranny (rebuild).  Wife's mother wants to give us
a 99 S-80 with 60,000 miles on it.  She can't conceive that anyone would
drive a car with as many miles on it as our GLE(she ...

Towing a 1987 245 auto19 Nov 2004 05:17 GMT4
Someone is giving me a 1987 245 automatic transmission but I need to tow
it back to my place, which is about 200 miles.  I will rent a dolly and
put the front wheels up on it.  Do I need to worry about disconecting
the driveline or will the transmission handle a tow this long?
740, 760 snow tires19 Nov 2004 05:14 GMT8
Wondering what type of snow tires you're all using. I've been checking
Candian tire and various other shops. Any  suggestions on what to use?
Can't afford to buy the Gislaved ones unfortunately..
A Great drive in the S8019 Nov 2004 04:42 GMT10
I had a great drive on Sunday from Edinburgh to Thurso and back on Monday.
600 miles of Scottish Highland driving in a superb car - I'll have to buy
one (my own car is a V40 which I thought was pretty good anyway - but the
S80 2.4 was stunning).
Volvos are the worst automobiles on this planet !!!18 Nov 2004 20:41 GMT8
I'd rather hop around with a pogo-stick than driving with such a piece of sh.t!
Haynes manual 400-series: B18U vs. B20F18 Nov 2004 09:08 GMT14
Does anyone know if there is a significant difference between the B18U and
the B20F engines in the Haynes repair manuals?
My wife recently purchased a 1993 460 GL with the 2.0 liter engine, and the
manual I have access to covers up to the 1.8 liter. Can I get by with that
