Problem with '95 850 AT31 Jan 2005 23:52 GMT9
Our '95 850 with automatic transmission has a quirky problem.

seconds going down hill the transmission makes a shift, or at least does
something that causes the engine to rev up, then it shifts back to 3rd,
Volvo locking wheel nuts..31 Jan 2005 22:46 GMT1
I went to get my tyres changed on my 1998 s40 at the weekend.
The greasy little monkeys decided to undo the locking bolt with the
pnuematic gun (not sure of name) which ripped the key part out of the
socket.. They didn't seem to think it was their fault..

I am wondering if anyone has done a headlamp lens replacement on a 70
series car?
I have seen that one can buy just the lens element, rather than the
entire assembly. I looked my car over and there seems to be 3 bolts that

My brother has bad credit now. It is not his fault.... his real estate
manager failed to make three payments on his rental houses while he was at

needs a family car. He has a nice truck but it is a ...
Flushing the coolant  850 auto31 Jan 2005 16:41 GMT4
A while back my auto transmission fluid and coolant mixed due to a burst
radiator. This I have fixed, and at the time did my best to flush out the
remaining transmission fluid from the engine using a garden hose. I am still
getting trans fluid residue in my coolant header tank. ...
'89 240 cranking issue - COLD weather31 Jan 2005 07:04 GMT2
This weekend mother nature dropped our temperature down into the
teens, and covered everything with ice.
Mid day I decided to crank my '89 Volvo 240.
It turned over easily enough, but would not "catch."

Bi Xenon Headlights31 Jan 2005 03:37 GMT1
Okay, a newbie, fairly general question.  I drive an '03 V40.  Can I replace
the standard headlight bulbs (not the whole lens, etc.) with a Bi Xenon
version?  And if so, are there any restrictions or things I need to watch
out for (e.g. could I damage the electrics or blow the new ...
V70 sometimes dead!31 Jan 2005 03:34 GMT1
Every so often, after several days or weeks of starting fine, our 2000 V70
will be found in the garage with almost a dead battery and will need a
jumper to start. The battery is almost new and nothing has been left on. It
only happens after being left over night in the garage for ...

this bad when I learned to drive on it, and my dad had the car since new and
