I've had this car for almost two years and really do like it. I have
always been puzzled, however, by the lack of windshield wipers for the
rear window, considering Volvo's reputation for safety. I would think
them to be more useful than the headlight wipers that are on the car

Over the past year I noticed the front brakes on my 945TG grabbing more than
in the past, making the front dip noticeably. I noticed they were quite worn
(about 1/8" trench on both sides of each rotor) so replaced them with new
rotors.

I noticed the 2005XC70 does not have headlight wipers ... just
headlight washers.  Anyone know the reason for this?

I have a s70 with the sc816 radio. I want to use the sc816 with an
external audio source (a palm organizer that has audio output
capability) possibly using the capability of the sc816 radio to address
an external cd changer device (which I do not have).

Car: 1989 Volvo 240 (B230F engine) "RWD"
Symptom: Strange intermittent Austin Maxi gearbox type whine coming from
somewhere around the gearbox/prop-shaft/diff area. Sound level ranges
from not noticeable to very loud and comes and goes with no apparent

I have a second hand (1999) 1.8 V40 that I think was purchased originally as
a basic model company car with added extra's. It is unbadged, ie it doesn't
say whether it is an 'S' or whatever but it has velour trim, climate,
cruise, alloys.

 I have 2 K grind cam shafts for 240 Volvo I am looking at selling
.This cam will give you 136 hp approx in a 240,I also have an adjustable
cam gear to sell too

   I have a amm for a 84 240 Volvo thatI am looking at selling would
anyone out there possibly be looking for one to repair a car or as a spare.

I have a 1989 240 4dr.  Recent trips to the junkyard seem to indicate
that there are only four bolts that need to be removed to get a
replacement, to the tune of about $40.00, and a small investment in
vacuuming, Odo-Ban, and perhaps one of those lovely cow-print seatcovers

I want to connect my iPod to the stereo in my XC90 and the FM transmitter
does not work well for some reason in this car (works gret in my BMW)

my 95 850 turbo wagon's dash were trying to tell me something.  When I
took the kids to school today and the fan didn't turn on to defrost

Dealer quoted $800 to replace the alternator and battery on a 2000 S80
volvo is that within reason?

I had that, twice, on my '94 850.   I heard it happens with the later
models, too.  The first time, I went to the dealer to fix it, for $240.

I have a 93 850 with the blinking arrow indicator. I read the
code at the A1 socket and it comes back 1-2-2. Does anyone have a list
of the codes who could tell me what this indicates? Also, I tried
clearing the code by holding the test button for 6 seconds and
