| Engine swap question | 08 Feb 2005 03:08 GMT | 6 |
I've got a line on a '73 142 with a blown B20 engine. Is it feasable to pull the engine & tranny and install a B21 turbo and 4speed o.d. tranny? Or does this mean too much sheet metal surgery?

My friend is offering to trade me his volvo 144 and I was considering rebuilding the engine and throwing on some webers. It is a lovely car, good for my lifestyle with ample room for camping gear and a roof rack.

| 260 Headlights | 08 Feb 2005 00:15 GMT | 5 |
I have 2 distinct brightnesses at both the headlights & all the instrument lights, high beam & low, which doesn't seem dependent on engine revs, road roughness etc... just brightens for a short while then goes back to dull-ish. Hard to say which brightness is normal, the instruments ...

While at a red light, my foot on the brake, my 2002 S60-T (34,000 miles) accelerated (as if someone suddenly stomped on the accelerator) all by itself. I kept my foot on the brake but the car began to go through an intersection, anti-lock brakes thumping away. I made a quick ...

| 89 740gl radio | 06 Feb 2005 19:53 GMT | 7 |
Just lost the FM on my radio, and AM is on the way out. If I wedge a screwdriver under the dial knob, FM works for a while. Sounds like it's time for a new radio. Any tricks I need to be aware of if I replace it with an aftermarket AM/FM/CD. Thanks for your help.
