I've found a nice V70 2.5Tdi in good condition
for what seems to be a good price.
Thing is. the price is low due to the mileage. Its done ALOT

The stereo's connected to the... taillight?06 Feb 2005 07:28 GMT15
My 1990 240 has been acting oddly.
Specifically I had an aftermarket stereo installed at Best Buy about 3
1/2 years ago.  A couple of winters ago it started cutting out- the
sound would stop, the display would go out and eventually it would
rich mixture on a 88 24005 Feb 2005 03:17 GMT7
I drive a 1988 240 with the 2.3 carburettor engine.
This week it failed its MoT test because of the exhaust gasses.  The CO
reading was too high.
It's been smelling quite petrol-y, so I guess that means it's been running
Problems with XC9004 Feb 2005 16:13 GMT7
We are having plenty of problems with our XC90.  Many are trivial annoyances
however we have experienced real problems that pose safety concerns.
Despite patience and clear communications with dealer, reps and
corporatation there has been no resolve.  Stay tuned....
Heater Problem with 1993 940 Turbo04 Feb 2005 09:42 GMT7
Maybe someone has a suggestion? The heater in my 940 has stopped working.
Most of the time is just blows cool air through the vents, although once
in a while, every couple weeks or so, the hot air kicks in again for five
or ten minutes. Any ideas?

My son is thinking about buying a 1986 740 turbo with 126,000 miles on
it.....asking price is $1700...
I went with him to look at the car and it started up nice but has somewhat
of a lousy idle...it will idle at 750 and go up to 1000 for a few seconds

Does anyone know about a good place on the internet where I can buy styling
Lights on the dashboard for no reason?!03 Feb 2005 17:29 GMT4
I have a '91 940 2l Turbo. It's fantastic, does everything I ask of it
and is in great condition.
These last few days it's developed what I assume is a fault somewhere
in the electrics and I wondered if anyone might recognise it or be able
front control arm bushings 2001 V7003 Feb 2005 14:04 GMT1
I have to replace both front control arm bushings on both sides.  Are any
special tools needed becises a spring compressor.  Is this a job someone who
can change struts can do?  Any tips?  Should the ball joints be replaced at
the same time since everything will be apart?  The ...
rear wiper - head gasket 85003 Feb 2005 13:45 GMT9
Hi, I have an 850 estate T5, the rear wiper has become very slow and
sometimes stops halfway across the window so I have to get out and push it
to the park position. Before I take things apart, can anyone offer any
advice as to what the problem might be? Bigger question, has ...
'96 Volvo 850 airbox bad = $500?03 Feb 2005 13:27 GMT1
Looking for comments, confirmation, and opinions on the following:
The check engine light on my '96 5sp 850 wagon came on.
Took it to the local volvo independent garage for an oil change and
asked them to read the codes for the check engine light.
"Chocolate Box" Diesel Chipping03 Feb 2005 03:59 GMT5
Does anyone in the UK have any experience of this device - as sold by East
Coast Racing? There is one for the 2.5 litre Audi engine (as fitted to 850's
and old shape V70's) for about 350 UKP. Apparently it connects into the
wiring to the diesel injection pump and doesn't involve ...
B28F to B28E02 Feb 2005 13:41 GMT18
Does anyone know what parts are needed to upgrade a B28F to a B28E? Is it
just the fuel distributor and the Control Pressure Regulator that are
different?  Thanks, Rick
1988 240DL Wagon vent controls not working02 Feb 2005 05:27 GMT6
The vent control pushbuttons that open and close the floor vents and the
defogger vents no longer have any effect in the 240 wagon. Anyone had this
happen to them?
