I am trying to replace the wiper motor on my 1990 Volvo 240dl.  To get
to the wiper motor arm, I need to remove some of the duct work.  I am
having difficulty detaching the piece of duct work directly
below/behind the glove compartment from the central duct work assembly

So is it true, or just self-fulfilling expectations that Volvo quality and
engineering have degraded since the Ford takeover?  Some posts here claim
they'd rather drive an old 850 than a new S60.  Is this just stingy people
(like myself) justifying their inability to buy new or ...

I have bought a V 70 ex company car.
The service history shows the car serviced every 10,000 miles.

I have a 1978 240. The windshield wipers aren't working because the small
grooved cylinders that the wiper mechanism attaches to are stripped. Every
other part of the wiper system seems to work fine, and I'm not really sure
how much I'll have to replace or where to go to get the ...

It happened.  Wife got rear ended in our 86 740GLE.  We've had it since it
was new, has about 350,000 miles on it. Was still in fine shape. But of
course, all we get is "book value". Totaled for insurance purposes. Ha!  Try

my 850 has a split radio, with tape deck in the car but CD changer in the
boot. It is f.cked. So, can i get a V70 unit (tape and CD player in the
cabin of the car) and just attach it? What needs to be changed on the wiring
harness?

I have bought a 2001 V70 estate.
The car is missing the pull shelf which pulls out from behind the rear seats
and hides what is in the boot.
Can I fit the same shelf from the older version V70 in the newer  are they

I tried to open the bonnet and the lever pulled back just fine but came back
further than usual and the bonnet did not release.
I now have a bonnet that I cannot open and a lever that doesn't work. I
tried to pull on the cable but it won't move. The lever did not return to

My 2000 V70 2.5D (new shape car, older 'Audi' engine) has had a nasty
light show up on the dashboard. The manual says that it means there is
a fault with the Emission control system, and should be driven to a
dealer for diagnosis.

What do we know about the Volvo V 70 Ocean Race.
Is it a standard V 70 with extras.

I've been looking at the XC90 for a while now, and wanted to see how owners
like theirs so far, problem areas, would they recommend them over a V70,
which Consumers Reports seems to favor over the XC90.
