| What's the best model Volvo? | 04 Mar 2005 17:45 GMT | 100 |
I have an '89 Volvo 240DL but it's given me some trouble so I've been thinking of switching it for another older Volvo (not limited to Volvo's thought). My budget is about $5,000 (plus what I get for my Volvo). what would you guys suggest?

| Volvo specifications ? | 04 Mar 2005 16:15 GMT | 4 |
Looking to buy another Volvo. Is there a site with models and specifications of each e.g. engine sizes, engine types, drive types, et al. So I may make better choice.

| 2001 V70 'challenges' -- could they be related? | 04 Mar 2005 13:18 GMT | 6 |
We purchased a used 2001 V70 T5 in November. Love the car, but a few things have cropped up and I thought I would ask the experts here before I did anything. The car has about 61,000 miles but is in pristine shape. Problem 1)

I've had my 86 740 wagon for 10 years now and I just love it, best car I ever owned. Have been thinking of upgrading to newer Volvo but everything I look at turns me off, plus I can't seem to keep track of all the model name

I'm looking at a standard 2002 V70 with about 35K. I like the style, features, safety and size. Will it last?

| Heated seat 740 | 02 Mar 2005 23:02 GMT | 4 |
I never use the heated seats on my 1988 740 Estate. My wife put the passengers heated seat on the other night and very soon we had a smell of burning and a small burn hole in the seat. I quickly switched the seat off and left it.

| 740 Head gasket | 02 Mar 2005 16:20 GMT | 1 |
Apologise for one last question on this subject. The car is going in Monday to have the head gasket replaced. I have a problem with the cooling system reaching a high pressure so have slacked back the rec cap.

| pedal to the floor after front disk replacement? | 02 Mar 2005 00:35 GMT | 6 |
I just replaced the front pads on my wife's '89 740 GL. Used my standard technique, pull the calipers off the disk, push the pistons back into the cylinders with a c-clamp, new pads & reassemble. Master cyl. reservoir is full.

| 760 Window regulator busted. Is 1988 version same as 1989? | 01 Mar 2005 22:59 GMT | 1 |
My drivers side window on my 1989 Volvo 760GLE is busted. I roll up the window and it goes chunk-a-chunk-a-chunk when it hits the top of the frame and there is a gap on the top left side. I can use my hand to guide it up, but thats getting real old, real

| Passing Ontario Emissions test | 01 Mar 2005 22:20 GMT | 1 |
I bought my 1996 850 a bit over a year ago. With this year's license renewal, I got "the dreaded tick" for having to get an emissions test done before I can renew. I'm wondering how well do 850's fare at the test centers.... prior car

| No third gear on 1992 740GL.... | 01 Mar 2005 05:02 GMT | 11 |
I have a 1992 Volvo GL Wagon, its the stock turbo engine. To get the tranny to shift at the proper point in to second, you have to back off the accelerator a little, at which point the tranny then shifts to second. If you don't do this, it shifts very late. It is NEVER shifting ...

| 2001 S40 Bumper Replacement | 01 Mar 2005 02:27 GMT | 3 |
As a result of a minor accident, my 18 son now has a 2001 S40 with a cracked bumper cover. It was a slow speed accident that did not do any major damage (at least that is apparent) but it looks as if the bumper cover will need to be replaced. From the searching I have
