After years of using Bridgestone Perenza tires on my 240, 93 850 and now 2000
V70, COSTCO refuses to sell me a new set.  Their reason: Volvo original issue
tire is 'V' rated and they fear law suits if they sell me 'H' rated tires.
Of course they will sell me a 'V' rated Michlien ...

does any volvo  enthusiast here in the uk  have lying in a shed or wherever
parts for the old v6 ,in particular camshafts and rockers

I recently blew the engine in my 1987 760 Turbo.  The turbo seemed to be
working fine.  What is the best replacement engine?  What type of milage
shoudl I be looking for in a used engine?  How much should I look to spend?
Can someone recommend a good inexpensive Volvo mechanic in ...

I just bought a nice 2001 V70 T5 and like it a lot.  However, there is an
error message on the display that says:
Bulb Failure
Position Lamp

How do I dissconect the radieo amp thats fitted to my volvo 240 so
that my new cd player will work. Do I just need to take the plug
socket out the top of the amp and plug this in to the iso kit that I
have got for the cd player to work.

The hood on my S40 is sitting slightly higher on one side (drivers
side).  Any idea how i can adjust this?

please tell me which way the thermostat goes in ,is it with the spring tail
to the block or the head opening side  to the block .Which way does the
water flow out of the block or into the block at the thermostat? .I have a
187 and a 192 degree thermostat and had so much bothers ...

Does anyone know what this is.  I replaced the valve cover gasket and
the oil fill cap, but oil is still running out underneath the cap.
There has to be a block farther down that is keeping it pushed back
up.  Any ideas would be awesome!

I'm changing my cam belt, water pump and drive belt this weekend. I have
read through the Haynes manual, looks to be a straight forward
job!........But it would be good to hear from anyone who has done this...Any
tips?

I am trying to add a stero jack to the radio in my 740 Wagon - it would
be for ear phones while driving with the windows down.  How does one go
about getting to the speaker wires (behind) the radio.  Would it be
wiser to go into the drivers door and hook into the speaker there?

I own a Volvo 1.9 360 GLT. Whilst driving sometimes the engine just
cuts off. I still have power for lights etc. I have to restart the
motor by turning ignition off and starting up normally. Car starts up
first time as though nothing happened. Problem is completely random

The driver's window on my 1988 760 does not go to the top and never
has... it gets to within about 1/4 to 1/8 of an inch and then the
motor starts skipping (buh-buh-buh-buh) and it won't go any higher.
I took the door panel off and discovered that the semicircular metal

Got this 740 -92 B230F with electrical fan that never runs.
Car overheats sometimes in traffic jams.
If i connect the two wires on the thermostat switch on the top
of the radiator on the passenger side the fan runs.
