I have a Canadian 240 DL I want to sell for parts. Many new parts on it.

area.
1984 242 Brake Problem and Engine Problem24 Jun 2005 07:37 GMT5
Got into my 242 this evening and after driving a few miles, the brakes
stopped working as power brakes. I was able to stop the car but with
great effort. Only check was to see if fluid was OK in master cylinder
and it was.
Re:Volvo Service in Toronto,ON Canada24 Jun 2005 04:58 GMT5
I am interested in finding some decent Volvo service in the Toronto area.
Volvo of Unionville has been terrible to say the least.  Anybody have some
feedback, experiences to share?
Thanks for your help.
Draining Torque Converter24 Jun 2005 01:35 GMT3
I am planning on a transmission service on my 81 245 (K-Jet, Auto
Trans).  Is there a drain plug in the torque converter or some other
fairly straightforward way to get the old fluid out?  I have a hose to
'flush' the system but I need to remove the pan anyway because of a
V70 Sunroof Problem23 Jun 2005 02:22 GMT2
Does anyone know what would cause the
sunroof on a 2001 V70XC to operate eratically?
The switch doesn't seem to be the problem
and a new power module was put in for a
142 Stability at high speed22 Jun 2005 18:51 GMT8
I have a 1973 142.  Runs great, drives pretty good around town but is
terrible at speeds over 70mph.  That is 4th gear, overdrive engaged and
3500 rpms.  The car is not really capable of much more without putting
the rpms way up there.
Anti-Theft devices: opinions? (specifically on hot-wiring...)22 Jun 2005 13:52 GMT3
I am going to moving to one of the more crime-ridden cities in less
than a few months, and I'm starting to look at anti-theft devices.  The
three I were considering were the PowerLock, Viper GPS Tracking unit,
and the Scosche RSA2900F.
'93 960 timing belt21 Jun 2005 14:58 GMT6
Just replaced the timing belt on the 960 (a 1993 with a late '92 set
up, but updated with the rubber mounted exhaust pulley)... [NOTE: no
pulleys were removed during this process]
I evidently either didn't mark things correctly, and/or didn't align
Volvo logo - trivia21 Jun 2005 13:25 GMT2
I'm curious.....
I notice some volvo's have the logo which includes the blue background
to the volvo text while others lack the blue stripe.  Is there any
significance to this?   Is one or the other newer or is the logo
My 89 740 GL saga: J Sweet21 Jun 2005 03:42 GMT12
Well, this is a continuation of the post from yesterday, it wasn't
a fuse problem or loss of power to ECU at all.
It has the B230  (or 2330?) 4-cylinder  FI engine, BTW.
To describe a little better what the car is doing, it seems to be

Advice on buying a 740 GL wagon20 Jun 2005 18:38 GMT4
I am looking into buying a 1990 740 GLE wagon listed on Ebay. The
dealership in NJ says it appears immaculately maintained, and the
photos look good.  It has 185K miles.  The Kelly BB says the value
from a dealership is abt $5K, from and individual, about $3300.  the
'91 245 - removing radio?20 Jun 2005 14:24 GMT1
I'm trying to upgrade the stereo in a friend's '91 245. The stock (broken)
unit is in the standard upper dash location, I removed the two screws but
it's still held pretty firmly from behind somewhere, any idea how to get it
out? Also I tried removing the glove box, took out all the ...
'96 850 Wagon - now horn won't work!20 Jun 2005 08:59 GMT6
First my rear wiper won't work....now my horn doesn't work.
It is on the same fuse as the front wipers and those work fine, so not
the fuse.
What else could be wrong?  Is this this a common 850 issue?  Is this
