I don't think my cooling fan is coming on and my temp. gauge needle is
rising...then it will return to normal but will rise(not quite to the red
zone) especially when I idle for a few minutes.
Where is the cooling fan relay?

I posted a letter a few weeks ago about my 130K 960.
The block is leaking like a sieve, it has been main dealer serviced from
new.
I mentioned to the dealer that perhaps there had been a problem in the past,

I have a 2000 Volvo S70.  It is about 100 degrees out and the air
conditioner works normally for about ten minutes.  Then the compressor
stops cycling and it blows warm air.  If the car is left sitting with
the engine off for about 15 minutes then the air conditioner works

I can remove an engine but apparently a radio is beyond me.
The car is a 1991 UK spec 240 with the OEM radio above the vents. I want to
install a CD player in the old-style radio area in front of the gear lever.

My 1994 940 has begun to make an odd noise when starting. The starter will
engage, and the engine start, then a sound like a loosly spinning gear
slowing down is made. It is quite loud, and can be heard inside and outside
of the car. Obviously something is not right.

How many electric motors does your car have? My '87 740  has 27
(unless I can think of any more). Higher spec., newer cars should
easily be able to exceed this.
