I called a volvo specialist shop this morning about replacing the cylinder head on my 1986 240 dl. He said that volvo does'nt make the cylinder heads for 240s any more, he said that the best thing would be to have a machine shop repair the damaged part.

My beast has the 4sp OD auto tranny, and the bush in the back of the extension housing has gone. It is leaking a lot. I am told you cannot simply buy the bush, (rare as apparently,) and u need to buy the housing. Either that or a couple of hundred Aussie to sort it and a new ...

AC is stil running well 12 days after service and recharge (better than last time as we have had 13 days over 90 degrees and high humidity, but only had one last Summer.) Anyway, in town the temp out of the vent is 52 to 54 degrees farenheit

I just purchased a 1994 (late) 850 (non Turbo) with 184,000 miles and the rear seal leaks worse than a sieve (at least a sieve would slow it down). I plan on doing the fix myself. Is there any tricks/tips/hints that someone could give me that will save me time/skin/frustration in

I just bought a 1986 245DL. When I got it, the wipers weren't able to park by themselves. Yesterday, they stopped working all together. The washer fluid, rear wiper and horn all work fine. I would like to check the wiper fuse but I cannot find the fuse box.

I'm shopping for a wagon. Would prefer getting a Camry wagon (92-96) but they are quite scarce around here. Found a 90 240 wagon being sold by a dealer who picked it up at an auction. Just over 100,000 kms! Body was rust-proofed so is quite good, no major rust showing anywhere.

Mike, fellow Volvo experts..... Car is a 98 S70 with manual air conditioning, which today was re-gassed as it was working but not very well with the compressor cycling every 15-20 seconds,- probably upon instructions from the low pressure switch.
