| Bending antenna on wagon | 29 Aug 2005 16:08 GMT | 3 |
The radio antenna on the top rear of my 240 wagon keeps hitting the door and roof pipes in the parking garage at work. Annoying and I'm concerned it could lead to problems with it. I assume I can bend it backwards so it doesn't bang everytime? Any tricks to doing this

| Why clean it? | 29 Aug 2005 10:29 GMT | 13 |
Are you as anal as I am? I suppose there are all sorts of extreme levels of cleanliness when it comes to cars, but I hate to work on dirty cars.. I'm not talking about show-car clean where the underside of the dash is painted to match, rubbed out, and waxed, but the sort

| 850 steering wheel re-condition | 29 Aug 2005 04:42 GMT | 1 |
I have a 1996 850 and the steering wheel is starting to show signs of wear on the outside of the rim, where I hold onto it. I wonder if anyone in the group has had success in re-coating, re-surfacing or just plain lacquering the wheel to make it look a little better. Any stories, ...

I have a 94 850 T5 estate, and the cruise control won't engage at all - it went intermittent for about a week, then died all together. Any ideas? Cheers,

| 240 air mass meter | 28 Aug 2005 21:55 GMT | 4 |
Have checked the diagnostic console and it is giving a code for an Air Mass Meter problem. Looking in Haynes manual is difficult to know whether the air mass meter is the whole of that large pipe or just a part of it as the diagram is inconclusive.

| 850 T5: Possible sticking valve lifter | 28 Aug 2005 16:47 GMT | 2 |
I'm (still) having trouble with starting my car requiring lots of turnover (10-20 secs) at times. It's been suggested that this may be due to a sticking tappet which keeps the valve slightly

| 90's Volvo Wagon Power | 28 Aug 2005 12:38 GMT | 28 |
Recent changes at home are precipitating a change in our vehicles: we need to go to a wagon. Now I have a 1983 240 Turbo that I thought was pretty peppy. Then we added a 760 GLE and I find it to be CONSIDERABLY more peppy. In

Can anybody help me with an intermittent electric window problem I am having with my 98 S70, the electric windows stop operating from time to time, hence this has left me cold and wet a couple of times. I have taken the car to a Volvo dealer who told me that the main window ...

| 960 Cabin fan | 26 Aug 2005 19:48 GMT | 5 |
The fan has suddenly stopped working, though the A/C seems to be OK. Is there a fuse/relay controlling this? I cannot even see how you access the fan easily to check whether the control resistors have "liberated" themselves. Short of a sledgehammer, can you get your arm in to see ...

| 760 Heater fan | 26 Aug 2005 13:19 GMT | 12 |
I noticed this morning that the heater fan is no longer doing anything. I have checked the fuse and replaced it but still no action. I can hear the servo operating the gate in the system and the AC and Recirc lights come on so I know the control panel is getting power.

| 940s chugging question | 26 Aug 2005 02:07 GMT | 4 |
hello gang: my 940 estate has just started doing some weard things in as much as it feels like fuel starvation. I drove it about a mile and as i slowed down and then put my foot down to carry on, it was like it had no fuel for a second and then burst back into life. Almost as if ...
