S60 belt reminder light12 Aug 2005 23:16 GMT9
I recently purchased an S60 and I'm a bit confused with the seatbelt
reminder light in the rearview mirror; it turns on after I turn the
engine on, then it turns itself off in a few seconds, regardless of
whether I have the seatbelt on or not. Shouldn't it stay on if I'm not

Volvo Fenders - `91 945 / `90 76012 Aug 2005 02:28 GMT10
Looking to replace a damaged Left Front (Driver) side on a 1991 945
(Turbo Wagon) with a fender from a 1990 760 Turbo Sedan.
Wondering if anyone would know for sure if the fenders are the same (or
close enough that maybe just a hole doesn't match up)?
Fuel Accumulator 1981 240DL Wagon12 Aug 2005 02:19 GMT4

Hello All,
Am restoring a 1981 Volvo 240DL Wagon.  Replaced a failed in-tank pump,
and the main pump under the car.  The fuel accumulator sits right next
that little recessed button on the instrument cluster12 Aug 2005 01:00 GMT11
I am trying to figure out what that recessed button does on the far
right of the instrument cluster of my '91 240.  It runs through a
conduit behind the cluster to the back of the speedometer.  The button
is recessed, so I presume it is not for mere mortals to push, but is
760 starting problem12 Aug 2005 00:28 GMT11
Well I spoke too soon in praising this car (1988 760GLE) as "hassle
free".
Someone else posted this problem here but I can't find any responses
so I'll post it too.
740 GL: how much steering rod play?12 Aug 2005 00:22 GMT5
Re: 89  740 GL sedan:
Once in a while the front end develops a strange shimmy/vibration. ON
very smooth roads, going straight,  even at 70 MPH, the car has no
vibrations. But if you make a turn in the road, decelerating, and it
98v70XC Service Light Reset Tool Emulation?11 Aug 2005 21:05 GMT2
Other than purchasing one of the IPD tools at 178 bucks, does anyone on the
group know how to make up one, or simulate one with jumper leads?  I'll bet
its just a momentary contact switch that grounds a pin on the OBD port to
clear the light.
94 850 engine problems and diagnostics11 Aug 2005 16:55 GMT3
How much information is retained in the on-board diagnotics?

during the recent spell of hot, humid weather up here in Toronto.

Repair of broken grill11 Aug 2005 16:36 GMT2
Not long after I bought the 240 I noticed that all three tabs on the
bottom side of the grill assembly had been broken off, and the center
one replaced with a screw and self-locking nut- it was the only thing
holding the grill in place on the bottom edge.  WIth used grills
Reset service reminder in a 2004 s6011 Aug 2005 14:35 GMT2
I've tried the instructions found here for resetting the service light
for a 2003 s60 but they don't work. Does anyone know how to reset the
service reminder in a 2004 s60?
Thanks!
Will '88 AMM fit a '92?11 Aug 2005 13:37 GMT5
Got a AMM from a junkyard '88 740, hoping it would fit my 240 (as a
spare).  It checks out fine with the multimeter (as per the tests in
Bentley).  Unfortunately, looks like the AMM's changed from 88 to 89.
If I recall from my reading, the pre-89 ones had a manual idle
