Key fob does no longer locks doors on '95 85011 Aug 2005 05:08 GMT8
I just noticed that the 'Lock' button on the key fob for my '95 850 no
longer locks the doors.  However, once locked with the key, the 'Unlock'
button on the fob works as always.  I tried changing the battery in the fob
and the Lock still doesn't work.  I also tried a spare fob ...
orig CD box cable11 Aug 2005 00:51 GMT3
I bought Volvo original head unit (SC801) and CD box. But there were no
cable between them. Unfortunately found out that it is not possible to get
it also from official Volvo dealer. At least here in Estonia (Europe).
Can anyone suggest where should I look for it?
Headrest removal...85010 Aug 2005 13:39 GMT1
How do you remove the headrests on a '94 850? I'm putting sheepskins
on my tired leather seats.

I hope this post doesn't violate any group policy and if so I
apologize. I'm looking at this more from the making-an-offer
perspective than an advertisement perspective. Regardless, if it's
against etiquette, I'm sorry 'bout that.
Was 960 produced as 2.4 litres?10 Aug 2005 03:46 GMT3
Hi All;
Was the 960 made with the smaller 2.3L 24V engine.
If so is the car a lower spec than the 3L 24V version?

User's manual09 Aug 2005 15:40 GMT4
I just bought a 2nd hand V40 1.8 (1997) and its user's
manual is in Finnish (I live in Finland but don't speak any
Finnish).
Can anyone tell me how to find the manual in English?
Car Phone Radio Mute on 1998 V7009 Aug 2005 14:29 GMT1
Does anyone know which pin/connector mutes the car radio on a 1998
non-prologic radio set - someone told me it was 16, but how do I identify
it? I am connecting Nokia hands free kit to car.

wiring harness fried under manifold, replaced harness, distributor, air
mass meter,(2) ECU,(2) fuel control modulator, injectors, TPS, most
sensors, new plugs, cap and rotor.  Got to start but sounded like it was
being choked. Catalytic began to glow "red".  Punched out CC, tried to
The ball joint to strut issue 245DL09 Aug 2005 14:10 GMT1
What a set up? The 4 bolts that attach a bearing where the threaded rod
of my new ball joint needs to go through are going to break! Happened on
one bolt and was temporarily welded (lasted 5 months last time) but
eventually broke and had to get a used strut for left side
Keyless entry problem - '01 S-6009 Aug 2005 13:09 GMT2
I took my S-60 in for some bodywork and now the remotes don't work - the
bodywork was to repair damage to the driver side rear door - I know they
disconnected the battery while working on it and I'm wondering if there is
something that needs to be reset to get the remotes working ...
2002 XC70 Fuel Filler Door Problem09 Aug 2005 13:02 GMT2
I have a 2002 Volvo XC70 with a fuel filler door that won't open. Does
anyone know if there is a manual release cable for an XC70?
I pulled the cover over the passenger tail light and couldn't find one.
I've read several posts about this problem on other models, but
S60 more power09 Aug 2005 01:35 GMT1
I have a three year old S60 D5S and would love to know how easy it is to get
it chipped to about 190bhp and what the approximate cost would be.
Anyone got a feel for the increased performance?
At the moment I find the D5 a great engine but would just like that we bit

If you have Electronic Throttle Module problems (ETS light), read on...08 Aug 2005 20:18 GMT1
As some of us may have heard, the NHTSA (National Highway and Traffic
Safety Administration) is currently investigating Volvo regarding the
electronic throttle module defects that have plagued the 99-01 models.
It is possible for the investigation to result in a recall.
curise control component location question08 Aug 2005 16:31 GMT5
At the moment all I have is Chilton's (which might as well be
"Chitlins"). In the 240, I was wondering where the vacuum servo is
located (the diaphragm unit that actually pulls on the throttle)? Is
it in the passenger compartment up under the driver's-side knee
