On my 1990 240DL the other day the shifter for the auto transmission
started slipping easily from gear to gear.
Rather than the old solid click between gears it now easily slips from
R to N to D to 2 to 1.

I recently noticed that my 1990 240 makes a sort of sighing sound when I
turn the car off.  It seems to be coming from the dashboard and I wonder
if it is not some part of the vacuum system controlling the vents.  Is
this normal or indicative of a problem?

Do the intercoolers on the V70's have the drain plug in the bottom?  I
don't want to go digging for it unless it is there.  (I think my turbo
is blowing lots of oil.)
Also, is there any decent service manuals for the '99 V70R AWD besides

On the current S40 2.0D is the polyvee belt tensioner spring loaded or is it
hydraulically tensioned?

when i have my caravan on the volvo, the trailer lamp in the dash does
not work, have raved all the top of the dash out, then removed the
instrument panel, bulb is ok, is there something else i must do to
make it work, like wiring.

I picked up a nice v70R AWD a couple of months ago and now that it's
getting cold in the morning I'm having a trouble with foggy windows.
The *right* side of the windshield and passenger doors fog up when the
heater is on. If the AC is turned on it defrost mode it clears it up.
