1989 760 turbo dismal fuel economy07 Oct 2005 02:58 GMT1
I have a 1989 760 turbo that has been recently getting only around 15mpg
(mixed driving).  I like in Pittsburgh, PA (USA).  The best I have ever
gotten was around 21mpg on the highway.  I drive fairly conservatively, use
mid-grade or higher gasoline, and recently had the car ...
240 window cranks removal?06 Oct 2005 20:58 GMT1
Errr... are these the kind with a clippy thing that locks into a groove
in the metal, or does that center piece of the crank pop off to reveal
a screw?
Thanks.
Air cleaner CFM question...06 Oct 2005 18:03 GMT6
First, this is born out of a "mental exercise" between the parts boys
and myself...about the merits of K&N air filter...filtering efficiency
withstanding, they are being marketed on the sole concept of CFM at the
local parts store.

My fiancee just picked up a 1994 850 wagon. Are there any known issues
with this car that I don't want to surprise me?

heat and AC are fine. There are multiple DTC's recorded, most relating

I recently bought a used 98 S70. We had the battery replaced and now
the radio is asking for a code. Here's what I've done so far:
--Called a dealer and got the code from the VIN. Entered it and got an
"eeee" message. After three tries, radio goes into "Off" position.

Tank leak06 Oct 2005 04:12 GMT2
Hi - has anyone come across this one? A couple of years ago I filled up the
850 saloon with petrol ready for the holiday. On returning home I could
smell petrol and checked under the car. I noticed a leak and luckily my
mechanic was able to see to the car immediately. On ...
850R turbo gauge06 Oct 2005 01:49 GMT3
When I hoof it in my 850R, my turbo gauge does not go all the way to the
top. It goes about halfway across the white.
My question is of course, should the gauge go all the way to the top or is
there reserve for an even bigger (!) turbo?

My Haynes manual goes into great detail about removing and testing it but
doesn't mention where it is!

850 turbo oil light question05 Oct 2005 05:50 GMT6
    I've got a '95 850 turbo wagon, about 165,000 miles on it.  I
saw the oil light come on two weeks ago (just flickered on and went
off).  I pulled off the road, shut her down and checked the oil, and
it was a little low, but not even below the ADD line.
1990 245 oil leak problem05 Oct 2005 03:03 GMT13
My daughters 90 245 developed a substantial oil leak when she stopped
driving today. It appears the leak is coming from somewhere towards the back
end on the motor. From what I could see the oil pan was covered with oil.
Luckily she shut it off right away and had it towed to my ...
