I have an 1984 850 Station Wagon. It seemed that when I would lock the car the security system would kick in (Good) But a few minutes later the horn and lights would go off causing great racket and embarrassment!

A friend has a '92 240 which needs a new heater control valve (the already converted junk plastic one). ALLDATA for my '93shows this as .6 hours labor. Local shop seems to think this is 2 hours labor, I think based on pre-92 heater control valve conversion kit labor charge.

Is there a difference between Dexron ATF, Dexron II ATF and Lastly Dexron II D ATF The mauuel for our 1990 740 B200E with AW71 auto box stipulates Dexron II D but can not find this anywhere. Not even the local Volvo Agent.

My carb (Solex Z10) don't work!, mixture looks very rich (strong smell ). Idle circuiti is not necesary, idle keeps (but irregular) witht choke off!!!, choke on don't help, almost worse. Any advice or change carb?

Volvo V40 1998 - SC-805 head unit - Alpine CHM S630 CD changer. Just received the interface/adapter VOLA2 which requires a connection(yellow wire) to Permanent 12v supply and a connection (red wire) to accessory/Switched 12v supply.

(see my post below this one) I think the timing has also jumped off. Has happened before after repeated heavy cranking from other problems. Problem is, the harmonic balancer was replaced, and I cannot see any mark/notch or dot on it.

Just got finished replacing the O/D Solenoid in my '89 740 Turbo. No change, still can't go faster than 52mph or it will go to 3K rpm's. Checked the relay (#12), and it is intact. What now? Replace the Trans. fluid filter?
