The display lights on my 90 740 went out the other night. The lights for the

is for the marker lights and some back lights and they ...

2001 Volvo S40 weak and sluggish brakes16 Nov 2005 14:26 GMT1
The brakes on this car just don't respond with the force I expect, even
when slammed. In the moring when descending a steep driveway, the
brakes need moderate pressure to come to a rolling stop, especially
during the first couple presses of the pedal.

I was considering the posts I made and others also made about Volvo parts.
I bought from Rock Auto someone else said they had good results from FCP

I just want to share my observation that these sites are letting us get
wheel hop?16 Nov 2005 00:41 GMT3
1986 245 with power steering.  I know that the struts need replacement and
tires are done for also.  I've got 195/60/15 size tires on Virgo rims.  When
I turn the car at full lock in either direction there seems to be what could
best be described as wheel hop.  It feels as though ...
240 Hard clutch pedal16 Nov 2005 00:39 GMT23
Hi all...
Our 1978 244 (with 4 speed gearbox) was fine yesterday.  This morning
the clutch pedal has gone "hard".  I put the quote marks, because it's
not hard to press down - it just "feels" hard...  (Yeah, I know that

Questions on options, volvo's, etc...15 Nov 2005 10:54 GMT4
I was a long-time Volvo customer (67 1800S, a bunch of 140's and a 242T back
int he early 80's) but switched to buying Saabs for some reason back in the
late 80's.  I'm now considering switching back but don't know a whole lot
about Volvo's.  I always buy cars a few years "used" ...

Fuel pump issues...14 Nov 2005 17:32 GMT5
I have a 1990 240DL that has sat for a couple years. The gas turned to
varnish so I had the tank cleaned, bought new fuel pumps, sending unit,
gas cap and a few other small items to complete the repairs.
My problem is that I'm not getting voltage (current) to the pumps. I
Need Help, thinking of selling the 85014 Nov 2005 02:30 GMT2
I have a '93 850 with 161,000 miles and really I love it, it's just got
a bunch of different problems that I'm hoping are common enough, and
can be fixed.  For starters it randomly loses power while I'm driving,
just while I'm going along, it will all of a sudden stop going, and
740 TurboDiesel - oil leak on high pressure side of turbo13 Nov 2005 22:32 GMT9
I have just bought a 740 turbo diesel from a garage.
A couple of days later I opened the bonnet and the whole turbo side of the
engine bay was black with oil.
I established that oil was leaking from the join where the metal pipe on
700 poly bushings13 Nov 2005 22:30 GMT3
Where's a good place to get rear poly suspension bushings for a 700
series? Mine are completely shot, I'd really like to replace them before
the weather gets too cold.
