Installing aftermarket radio-CD player31 Dec 2005 19:57 GMT8
My husband wants to replace the Volvo CR-915 radio in our 1995 940
sedan with a new aftermarket radio-CD player.  Can anyone tell us where
the separate amplifier for the CR-915 is located in the 940 so he can
attach the wiring harness for the new radio to it?
'96 850 wagon - No cabin fan31 Dec 2005 17:42 GMT6
On my '96 850 wagon, 5spd, the cabin fans no longer run.
When I turn on the climate control (heater, defroster, etc) the re-circ
and A/C light just flash.
I have the computerized climate system.  The manual says is that the
Heated seat problem31 Dec 2005 17:17 GMT6
Hello all. I recently purchased a 93 960 wagon and I must say that I am
quite pleased so far with my "new" brick.
That being said I have a problem that I hope you in the group can help
me with.

I have a 1994 volvo 850 and a warning light on the dash has come on and won't go out. My manual is in the glovebox and that has a broken lock so I can't get to it
The light is on the right side of the "oil" light and it looks a little like (o)
Can anybody tell me what it is for
Fuel saving devices - do they do ANYTHING?31 Dec 2005 09:38 GMT53
Just wondering if anyone here has tried fitting fuel saving devices to
their car (magnetic clamp onto the fuel line, fan blades inserted into
the air intake, etc.) and if these actually did anything for fuel
economy - or not.
Another 740T problem, Arg31 Dec 2005 05:17 GMT2
After years of faithful service my '87 740T has left me stranded for the
first time, thankfully only a mile from my house so I was able to walk
home. I was driving through a parking lot and the tachometer needle
suddenly wigged out and was flipping all over the place for a moment ...
power steering fluid loss V70 Y reg (99?)30 Dec 2005 13:43 GMT4
My Y reg V70 2.4 estate has lost all its power steering fluid. None of the
garages around here can take it until the end of next week so I'm wondering
if I'll damage it by driving it (apart from the obvious of very heavy
steering).
Smoking indicator switch30 Dec 2005 06:38 GMT7
I just flashed another driver and noticed a substantial amount of smoke
drifting out of the switch area!
Not what you want to see when driving.
When I got home I took the covers off and flashed the headlights - the
steering wheel30 Dec 2005 06:36 GMT3
I have just picked the car back from the garage for its alignment, and
notice something unusual:
If I put my hand on the top of the steering wheel and turn it to
either 2 o'clock or 10 o'clock, and release the steering wheel, it will
XC 70 / 2.5t Intake valve issues30 Dec 2005 00:57 GMT6
Just picked our Cross Country up from the shop where they replaced a pile o
valves. Our concern was the check engine light.  Apparently there is a
bulletin on  this - carbon build up, which seems strange as we put good fuel
in it. It's an 04 with under 25k on the clock. Anyone ...
Advice: timing belt sprocket damaged twice29 Dec 2005 14:30 GMT8
Re:Volvo 740 GL  1989   B230F engine:
I have had engine failure twice for the same problem: there is a
square key on the timing belt sprocket that engages the slot in the
crankshaft. First incident, I found it broke/sheared off.... so the
Speakers29 Dec 2005 13:16 GMT3
I live in Jersey and need speakers for my '98 S70, specifically one for
the rear deck and one for the front passenger door. Anybody know where
I can get them after market? They are EXPEEEEEEEENsive from the dealer!
740T bucking when cold29 Dec 2005 01:52 GMT32
After years of solid running, in the past few weeks my '87 740 Turbo has
had a strange intermittent problem when cold. Either right after it's
started or shortly after the engine will suddenly start idling very
poorly, RPM dips down to 300-500 RPM and stumbles for several seconds ...
S80 Rubber Trim at Window Base29 Dec 2005 00:05 GMT4
The rubber trim at the base of all four of the windows on our 1999 S80
are trashed. Can these easily be replaced or does it require a visit to
the body shop? I'm wondering if it was just a bad batch of rubber since
all four of them got messed up.
defroster fan/electric mirror problem29 Dec 2005 00:00 GMT1
I'm new to the group...I also just joined TurboBricks.com as I recently
bought a 1990 760 wagon.  It's in pretty good shape...runs great...some
little things I'm taking care of.  Today after a substantial rain I had
to drive through a flooded street.  I got through, didn't notice
