1986 740 GLE Ignition Cold Weather10 Dec 2005 05:13 GMT3
In cold weather now it takes about 10 to 15 seconds when I turn the ignition
key to ON for the instrument panel gauge lights to all light up.  Once this
happens then I can turn the key to START and the engine starts fine.  If I
just turn the key to START on a cold morning then ...

89 740 Brake Light Problems08 Dec 2005 18:58 GMT2
My wife's '89 740 GL has lost both its main brake lights. The light over
the trunk (back window) still works. Bulbs are good, contacts clean. No
voltage at the rear connectors when the brake pedal is pressed & the
back glass light is lit.

Hi! just got this rust - free 240 from Indy area- got clutch done and
running OK. However, steering is difficult at about 4 places in total
rotation.  Changed some fluid with Lucas magic elixir, and didnt help.  I
did notice that when car is off  and steering is painfully "manual",  ...
01 V70T power brake unit08 Dec 2005 13:10 GMT3
I have a vacuum leak at the rear of the power brake booster after I brake

a slow release will stop the leak until the next braking.  Any adjustments

Air Cond - 96 85007 Dec 2005 21:49 GMT2
I have reason to believe the air conditioner low pressure "pressostat"
switch is intermittently faulty in my 96 Volvo 850. It is a non-climate
control system.   It has the correct charge (750g) and a gauge on the low
pressure side seems to point to the switch being bad.  The symptom ...
93 940 wagon side view mirror07 Dec 2005 16:35 GMT2
My younger son drove the car to his friend's birthday party.  Five cars
in that neighborhood were vandalized.  The damage to the Volvo was a
broken driver side mirror.
I want to replace it myself.  Will the side view mirror from a 740 fit
V70 ABS wheel sensors07 Dec 2005 04:57 GMT2
Could anyone give me a value for the resistance of one of the ABS wheel
speed pickups.  I think I've got a dodgy one.
