My 1989 740GL just turned 190K miles. I'd like to increase my mpg from the 22 I'm getting now. I check the tire pressure weekly, so my next stop is under the hood. Thanks in advance for your replies.

| S80 "loose" steering | 28 Jan 2006 21:58 GMT | 5 |
I have a 2001 S80 T6 with about 80,000 miles. After having it in to the dealer for some transmission work the steering seems to have a lot of play in it while driving. Driving down a straight road with no wind the steering wheel will sometimes be cocked to the left a bit and ...

Does anyone else have this problem? My 1994 940 Wagon has issues with the tail light lens assemblies. It appears that the heat from the bulbs melts the plastic and causes the metal contacts to receed. This causes the assembly to lose contact witht he bulb

| Xenons for '99 S80 | 28 Jan 2006 05:03 GMT | 2 |

Recently I encountered a strange problem of my Volvo car which is 1988 240 GL model. The car's engine would stop running when the fuel tank has less than 2/3 of the petrol. The situation became worse when the car was on the uphill slope at that time, the engine would not even be

| Estate size | 27 Jan 2006 17:23 GMT | 3 |
Has anyone here ever tried putting a new kingsize mattress (160cm x 205cm) in the back of a volve estate (sorry, don't know what model, just " a big one"!) If not, reckon it'll fit, diagonally, with a bit of squeezing/bending?

| Wipers gone mad on my XC90 | 27 Jan 2006 07:22 GMT | 8 |
My wipers are possessed! They are going on by themselves and no going on when they should. As it's raining here it makes it hell to drive, not to mention dangerous. Has any one else had this happen? If so what needed to be done to fix it?

| Intermittent problem with 90 760 turbo | 27 Jan 2006 02:35 GMT | 1 |
Frustrating and potentially dangerous. From time to time when I travel on the highway, especially on inclines, my engine stumbles and I lose power. The last time it happened, yesterday, black smoke starting coming out of the tailpipe and the turbo guage was in the white zone.

| Roof Rack V70 & S60 | 26 Jan 2006 17:10 GMT | 1 |
Will a S60 bar/rack fit a V70? Is it just a different Thule fit kit or will it go without mods? I have a 2001 V70 and can get a used S60 factory bar set. Are the factory racks similar/same as the Thule Aero foot set?
