Has anyone encountered this?
Dolby-compatible stereo that plays CD-R's?12 Jan 2006 02:55 GMT10
As the new owner of a '99 C70 with the 901 stereo, I am stunned that a
unit with such advanced features as the station/song text mode (I forget
the acronym for that at the moment) can't do something as basic as play a
CD-R!

Power Steering Fluid 02 S6011 Jan 2006 09:10 GMT1
Need to top off the Power Steering fluid on this vehicle.  Manual says it
uses ATF.  Is any name brand ATF OK?  I'd go to the dealer but it is a bit
out of the way.  I can't see how something good like Mobil1 synthetic ATF
could hurt.   Comments?

I have a '98 V70 that needs to have the timing belt replaced. I have two
questions-
1. Does it need the tension pulley replaced ?
2. Is this a job that my local gas station mechanic can do?

I am considering buying a 2006 xc70. Can someone please tell me what grade
of gas they are using in late model xc70's? I know Volvo recommends premium
for their engines, but my 1999 V70 runs just fine on regular. Thank you.

I have an F Reg Volvo 240 GL estate car, bought from new with about 157000

re: 1993 DL Wagon rear tailgate wiring harness replacement10 Jan 2006 13:55 GMT2
I'm no longer able to patch up the old wires as they have gotten too
short where they exit in and out of the hinges.
Ordered a new LH and RH harness from eEuroparts for $20 (here within 2
days of order) and both are Scan Tech and made in Sweden and look

Just Out Of Curiosity....10 Jan 2006 03:44 GMT6
If I came out to my car and had a completely flat battery...how would
you get the doors unlocked on these newer Volvos where the key doesn't
actually unlock the door physically, but through an electrical motor?
Or, maybe I should duct tape a brick to the roof rail for just such an ...
Volvo 440 idle problem09 Jan 2006 23:04 GMT3
A few weeks ago on a cold morning the idle revs went down to about 500 then

it sometimes sticks at 2500 rpm. The engine is the 1.8 ...
