Dome/roof covering peeling off21 Feb 2006 12:56 GMT7
I'm having an issue with the sheer covering on the dome of my 1990
Volvo 740 GL. Namely, it has come off. I cut away most of it and
there's around 3mm of orange foam underneath. It's not pretty. Any
suggestions?
how DOES a fuel pressure relay work?  was 1988 245 no start (well still not starting!)21 Feb 2006 06:10 GMT6
Hi all.  Still trying to figure our why our (until now) trusty 1988 245
won't go.
Looking through list after list of Volvo info, I thought I would check
our fuel pressure relay.  It looks like it might be the culprit.

Hi everyone I started another thread in which I lost turbo pressure.
Well, it turns out that the 2" aluminum foil-type hose which goes from
under the airbox to the back down by the exhaust I assume was very old
and had holes.  I replaced it and have boost but the problem I noticed

Remove engine, remove crankshaft and bearings, replace or repair

Is error code memory volatile?20 Feb 2006 04:12 GMT2
The engine check light on my 1999 (2000MY) V70 2.5D(iesel) has been on for a
while - almost certainly because I turned the ignition on with some of the
fuses removed (don't ask!) and it thought there was an emission system
fault.
'94 Turbo Wagon Cracked Block20 Feb 2006 03:56 GMT2
I had just replaced the engine after my son ran the car without
collant! Had the car for two days (after paying $3800 for the rebuild
engine) and the collant hose blew! The block cracked. Has anyone had
experience using ceramic block sealant to repair the engine? The car is
B280F water pump access?20 Feb 2006 01:31 GMT1
I've read that the intake plenum needs to be removed to remove the water
pump on the B28F engine.
I can see the small connector pipes under the plenum in the B280F, and it
looks accessible.  Does the plenum need to come off to re & re the pump?
help !  I think I broke my turbo on my turbo !19 Feb 2006 22:57 GMT31
I have a 740 Wagon Turbo and I'm not sure if it's electrical that I
bumped or my own fault for running the car with low oil.  I replaced
the 3/8 size type hose that comes up by the Transmission Fluid dip
stick yesterday. It's that hose that has the inline vacuum check valve
