Two small faults, possibly related, because they started to happen at around

1) The speedometer does not work.
2) When disengaging from any gear at normal speeds and dipping the clutch

Recently my 86 240 (106,000 miles) has been making a hellaciously loud
squeal when accelerating from a stop. More gas, more squeal, and then

Hi.  I just inherited a 1991 Volvo sedan, so thought I'd join the group
and see if I can get some help.  The  radio is reading EEE (I was told
it has not worked in a long time), so I contacted my local dealer for
the code.  Unfortunately, there is no change when I try to key it in.

My mechanic gave me the driver side window switch from eater v70 or s70 to
have a look at.  I pried it open and this is what I found.
