Removing the CEM20 Mar 2006 03:41 GMT3
Anything I should know about regarding the removal of the CEM in a 2006
Volvo XC90? I understand the battery has to be disconnected and the
vehicle has to sit for at least 15 minutes before disconnecting
anything else.

Can't get 240 rotors off19 Mar 2006 03:05 GMT6
I've got a 1992 240 sedan and I'm trying to change the rear brakes.
Initially they were rusted to the hub (the rotor wouldn't even wiggle
when I tried to pull it off). I let them soak in PB Blaster and hit
them with a hammer, and now they'll slide back and forth about .5 mm

Buying advice - replacing a 98 S7018 Mar 2006 21:22 GMT5
My 1998 S70 was totaled last week in a collision. Now I need a
replacement car. I am looking to keep it in the 18K range. For that
money I can get something like a 2002 S60 certified used with about 40K
miles or a new Honda Accord or Huyndai Sonata. Any advice would be
salvaging a hood release cable off of a 1987 240--how do you get it through the firewall?18 Mar 2006 17:36 GMT1
I'm trying to salvage a hood release cable off of my '87 245 and can't
figure out how to get it to come through the firewall---plastic sleeve
on the inside seems to be keeping it from going through. Any ideas?

Volvo 240 Rear Light lense18 Mar 2006 03:23 GMT7
I got into a reverse accident this morning. The main thing damaged in my
faithful 240 (1990 model) was the rear light glass. The Main rear brake
light glass and the white plate glass are broken. The body metal area looks
slightly creased. But doesn't seem to be any serious ...

Hard starting 1992 24518 Mar 2006 00:11 GMT4
I've got a 92 245 that starts hard or not at all when it's humid. I've
replaced the cap, coil, wires and plugs (checked the gap too), but not
the rotor. It makes an orange spark, even when it's humid and I pull a
plug a plug and ground it while someone cranks.
good years for s4017 Mar 2006 20:42 GMT7
I've driven Volvos since they were 140's, but my daughter wants to
upgrade from her 850 to an s40 but I don't know much about them except
that some had Mitsubishi engines and at some point they started making
them with "stronger" steel.

Are there any headlight conversions for 1987 740 GLE?17 Mar 2006 19:19 GMT8
Are there any retrofits, or semi-easy ways to convert my dual-rectangle
headlights to the larger square or even large european style round?
Thanks!

Tyre Choices - V70 2.5 10v17 Mar 2006 10:02 GMT2
I have always been a fan of continental rubber, but I am always open to
other peoples views.
I want to replace all 4 tyres on my newly acquired V70 2.5 10v here in the
UK.
