My 2000 V70 (with AWD) has a driver's side window that won't come back up. At least it didn't for 2 days. It finally rose yesterday. It's not clear why it stopped and why it came back to life. The car is 6 years old with about 40,000 miles on it. It doesn't get driven all winter ...

I've been wondering for a while whether the '90 to '92 740 style taillights (indicator and reverse are a stripe across the middle of the red light) will fit on a 2-series such as a 264 that has the 6-panel lights that are the same as the earlier 7-series.

My 1987 740 is gold/beige. The front bumper is black and beneath this is the front scoop which is also gold/beige. It is scuffed and scratched and rubbed. Eventually when I re-paint the car, I'll paint the scoop also.

I noticed that the coolant level in the expension tank when the engine is warn can reach sometimes almost the top of the tank. It remains only very little air space. Is this normal?

I have 99 V70 with manual transmission with 128k miles on it. When I press the clutch and put in the first gear the car jumps a bit like something got mechanically engaged. This is still with the clutch fully pressed.

Would somebody out there who's had experience changing the starter on a 1995 960 volvo please help me out. I've changed a lot of starters on other cars where it's a 30 min or less job, but this car seems to have a "buried" starter. Is that true? Is it really a 3 hour job
