| 740 2.4 Turbo Diesel | 05 Jul 2006 02:10 GMT | 4 |
After 500,000 miles the camshaft has broken on my 1990 Volvo Diesel Estate (Converted to a Pick-Up in 1999) Does anyone know how much work is involved in fitting a petrol engine as a replacement? Is the wiring loom the same? What other problems exist?

The dealer wants 125.00 to install mudflaps. I already have the flaps. I'm leasing the car (2006 S60) and would rather save some money right now. To install them myself, as suggested, I need to remove all the tires and then rivet them on. I'm thinking of simply glueing them on

I have a '95 940 sedan with carpet that is getting a little too worn. I've googled for a replacement source and found surprisingly few. The ones I did find would only mention carpet replacement kits for the 740. Would the 740 be an exact replacement for my 940?

| Timing belt tensioner failure S70 T5 1998 | 03 Jul 2006 20:10 GMT | 11 |
I changed the timing belt at 60,000 miles and was getting ready to change it again at 130,000 miles. Unfortunately the tensioner failed at 125,000 miles. The engine is shot. Only 2 cylinders are still good. Why cannot Volvo design cars where the

| 1998 V70 Glovebox | 03 Jul 2006 20:05 GMT | 1 |
My glove box cover rattles with an annoying buzz at speeds below 40mph. Pushing the door and releasing it stops the rattle for a few seconds, then the buzzing starts again. Leaving the door open silences the noise, but then it looks a mess.

| Volvo 740 gle 16 valve - replace distributor cap | 02 Jul 2006 06:33 GMT | 1 |
I have a noob question. Ok. I want to replace my distributor cap, rotor, and wires. I have been told that if you mess this stuff up you can screw up the timing. So, is this the same timing that makes the 16 valves smash up when the belts break? It would really suck to cause
