light cover.  I believe I need to replace the whole light "cluster" is
this correct (and is this the correct terminology)?  If so does anyone
know fairly cheap places to get hold of one of these clusters.
Volvo S80 1999 - Why do they cool the computer with air from climate control system?24 Jul 2006 08:42 GMT4
Upon finding the low side of my a/c system to test pressure, I noticed that
the box next to the antifreeze and power-steering fill tanks (which contains
two computers from the looks of it), is fed air from the climate control
system to cool the computer modules.

On my V70 I know my air conditioning isn't working and double checking

Workshop Manual for Volvo 240GL23 Jul 2006 20:45 GMT1
I am looking for a workshop manual for my 1986 Volvo 240GL manual w/
overdrive wagon, preferably sourced in Australia.  I have the Haynes manual
but it lacks the detail I need.  I need detailed schematics, wiring diagrams
and theory:  The comprehensive manual would also be a boon ...
92 740...key contacts cleanable?23 Jul 2006 15:10 GMT3
On my 88 Camry, two screws could be removed on the ignition key
switch and then you could clean the contacts. This fixed the no-start
/no-rotate problem it had.  The 92 740 turbo wagon does the same thing
intmt. Am pretty sure it is either the starter lock-out switch on
Kick-down cable adjust. 740...question23 Jul 2006 15:06 GMT2

turn the kick-down cable adjustment to fix this?  Would save a whole
lot of driving/experimenting to know this.    Thanks, Geronimo
2006 S80 purchase23 Jul 2006 06:23 GMT1
We haven't owned a Volvo since our 1980 DL which we sold 1985.  This past
Saturday we took delivery of a new S80 (Black with Taupe interior)...  I'm
loving this car!
Any 2006 S80 owners experience anything I should be aware of?
Idle question on 1987 740 B230F23 Jul 2006 03:14 GMT7
I've come to believe that a "24 hour" rule exists on my Volvo. It's
like I make an adjustment and I don't notice anything. 24 hours later,
I start the car and the changes take effect.
One example is my idle. I think I am fighting pinhole vacuum leaks and

Here's a question: isn't a vacuum the absence of air? Why a cannister?21 Jul 2006 22:09 GMT9
Here's my question: Why does a car need a vacuum cannister? Mine is
broken, it's in a crappy location to access and I want to replace mine.
So, I am planning on buying a vacuum cannister and mounting it in
another location. But why do I need it?
