| Air Conditioner, 96 850 T | 15 Jul 2006 03:27 GMT | 3 |
Recently the AC on my 850 with 260000 miles started to act up. Sitting in traffic or idling for a few minutes on a hot day causes the AC to stop blowing cold air. After driving a mile or so at normal speed it starts working again. Engine temp stays normal. The AC works great ...

| Need opinions on power tranny flush | 13 Jul 2006 17:43 GMT | 3 |
Can I please have opinions on the risk of a power tranny flush? There is a reputable Volvo service company in Dallas that does the power flush. All they do is Volvo. They want $160 for the job, which I think is steep.

I'd been getting random stalling. Driving along and BOOM! Dead engine, coast to a stop on the shoulder, wait 10-15 minutes, restart and go on. Well, things just weren't going well. I'd spent over $1000Cdn on various items and absolutely no joy. Finally, I got fed up with

| I got one for the knowledgable on the list | 13 Jul 2006 03:48 GMT | 6 |
Picked up an '88 244 last week, nice condition, but had a rough idle. Get past idle and drive it and it ran quite well. Changed the plugs, it was slightly better, but still pretty rough at idle. Started poking around sites like Brickboard and others,

This isn't a problem I am having, but would like to know. If someone installs new shims and doesn't allow for enough clearance - how long before damage occurs? What sparked my interest in this is that because this was my first time

| S70 ABS light | 13 Jul 2006 02:06 GMT | 1 |
OK, now my 1998 S70T5's ABS light comes on intermittently. I've done various forum searches, and many mention the ABS and TRAC light coming on together. On mine, it's just the ABS. It comes on when starting sometimes, sometimes it won't. It will come on
