I recently bought a 93 240 wagon w/ 182k miles.  It's in great shape,
but I have noticed that has a hard/abrupt shift between 1st and 2nd (it
shifts between 15 and 20 mph).  I took it to a a local Volvo shop and
asked them to adjust this, but it actually feels worse than before.

I bought my 1990 740 turbo 4 years ago and have been continuously upgrading
it (euphymism for replacing worn parts) bit by bit.
By now I have new struts/shocks around and took advantage to have installed
an ipd antisway bar which I really like and gives me a firmer more european

We have had two failures on the car which seem to be linked.
Firstly the rear wiper no longer works (need to fix as mot is due) and also
the rear door (boot) no longer unlocks with central locking.  It will unlock
and lock manually with key.

About two months ago, I purchased this vehicle. I have a check engine
light burning. Have checked everything to do with what would be vital to
engine. Oil transmission and water. Vehicle runs good as ever. Is there
a reset switch or something I dont know about?

my 93 940 has a right blinker that blinks aprox twice as fast as
normal...at first, i thought i had a bulb out, as the front amber
blinker was not flashing, the rear was...at the faster speed...
when i activate the left signal, all is normal and it blinks a normal

I had my e-code headlights in about 2 months, and have only been taking
short night drives in a very dark and poorly lit rural city.  I run the
Narva 100W bulbs, lights precisely tuned. I could see the light
brighter on the street, but I wasn't really impressed.

I am looking at buying a 2002 V40 with only 23K on it. The vehicle

I've managed to finally figure out that several of the anomalous
problems I've had are related to the ignition switch. If I jiggle the
key a bit after I start the car the the turn signals work, the daytime
running lights come on, the ABS light goes out, and shift lock comes
