1994 850T AC problems17 Aug 2006 20:47 GMT1
I currently own a 95 850T.  I have been experiencing problems with the
AC (blower).  If I am idling are running at a low speed, the blower
barely pushes air.  I doesn't matter if I set it on Auto, or manual w/
high speed, it barely works.  If I accelerate rapdily, or run the
No more changing diapers! My 1987 740 turned 200,000 miles!17 Aug 2006 20:16 GMT6
My baby is growing up. I turned 200,000 miles today!  Original engine

Now I can apply for a high mileage badge, I had the car 6 months,
bought her at 195,000 and now she's broken in.
'92 740 died while idling....17 Aug 2006 18:00 GMT6
It is the 740 turbo model. It has had an intmt problem with no start
(but cranks fine) for a long while, over a year. Come back to it an
hour later, starts right up usually.  THis time, whatever it is, I
think has gone out again and is  staying bad.....so now it can be

rear door panels of a '89 volvo 740 in order to get at the riveted-in
speakers so that i can replace them with some better ones.
thanks in advance
1987 740 In-tank fuel pump question17 Aug 2006 06:00 GMT4
I've been reading here and on the brickboard about the in-tank fuel
pump, the filter sock and the bellows hose.
Sometimes when I get to about 1/3 tank of gas and make a right turn,
the car sputters until I straighten out, then it goes back to normal.
B27 fuel conumption17 Aug 2006 05:56 GMT2
i'd like to ask to share your experience on either a 262 (my case) or
any other volvo running with a B27.
i recently bought a 262c bertone and it appears to be very greedy on
gas. not that i expected wonders, but currently it appears the car is
Volvo repair costs?17 Aug 2006 02:32 GMT14
I'm a college student with a limited budget looking to buy a car for
school.  I'm currently trying to decide between an 88 or 91 Volvo Wagon
and an early 90's Toyota Celica, both with about 150k miles.
Here's the question:  Which one is likely going to cost more in
Strange sound when over 60 mph in '97 850 glt Wagon16 Aug 2006 16:38 GMT2
I have a '97 850 GLT wagon.  It has held up well.  It has 194,300
miles.  I have noticed that when I go on the highway and get above 60
miles per hour sometimes a noise is emitted for what appears to be the
front of the car.  I simular to  the sound you hear when you are hold
'87 740 gle compressor replacement cost?16 Aug 2006 14:38 GMT4

A/C Blower Motor is a pain to remove.16 Aug 2006 14:36 GMT7
This is just a rant. I know, the 240 a/c motor is much worse than the
740 because you have to remove half the dash.
The 740 blower motor is another kind of pain in the a.s. This is the
kind of pain where someone puts a motor "right there" -- 5 simple, easy
2000 S70 auto gearshifter stuck16 Aug 2006 12:31 GMT1
I have a 2000 S70 GLT SE automatic transmission, and regularly the
gearshift button gets stuck in the "in" position without popping back
out when I am done shifting gears (P, R, N, D, etc.). I have to play
around with the button for it to pop out again. Has anyone had this
Volvo Dealer Report15 Aug 2006 20:53 GMT1
My wife and I just completed two months of driving around the US in our '05
XC90 V8.  We put over 12K on the car with absolutely no problems at all ---
fantastic road car.  Highway mileage ran 23-24 MPG.
We visited 5 Volvo dealers (4 for oil changes --- we change every 3750
S40 dash rattle/vibration15 Aug 2006 11:24 GMT1
I've got an annoying rattle/vibration in the dash of my S40.  I removed
the instrument cluster to see if I could figure it out..... but
couldn't find the source.  It seems to be coming from somwhere behind
the dash and in front of the driver.  Has anyone had a similar issue or
960 heater vent selction15 Aug 2006 09:33 GMT3
Hi, Apologies if this has been posted before, I looked, but couldn't
find!
My 960 will not select the blower vent position, it's stuck blowing in
the footwell, and won't change when the selector knob is turned.
Exhaust Stud Treatment?15 Aug 2006 07:33 GMT7
I'm replacing a couple broken exhaust manifold studs in my '84 240T,
and I'm wondering if I need to treat the studs with anything before
putting them in.  The crushed nuts have a nice locking mechanism, but
there is nothing that keeps the stud from backing out.  Should I put
