Installing amp in S7007 Sep 2006 19:48 GMT6
I am installing an amp in a '98 S70 using the stock head unit and
speakers for the moment.  I ran speaker wire from the amp to the
existing wires behind the headunit.

After travelling on the freeway at highway speed`, then returning to

What dou You think?07 Sep 2006 02:12 GMT4
I`m thinking over buying a 2,5 diesel (TDI) Volvo 850.
I found a beautyfull one, fully equiped, T5-R style.
Evrything looks fine except total millage - it is 323,000 km.
This car is from Germany and i think I made this run over the highways.
Tensioner bearings failure on 99 V7006 Sep 2006 19:47 GMT5
Did some searching on this group, and looks like this isn't an unknown
problem.
A couple weeks ago the tensioner bearings seized on my 99 V70, causing
the timing belt to cut through the cover, sending the pistons into the

Clamps for a 740 exhaust ?06 Sep 2006 01:20 GMT1
Just fitted a full replacement exhaust to my 740 2l estate. Dead easy
job, took an easy evening and most of that was getting the $*&£#
downpipe to unbolt from the manifold without breaking anything. Lucky
really - I went on holiday in it the day after!
1988 740 Rear Suspension06 Sep 2006 00:38 GMT3
Fellow Volvo Fanatics
Does anyone know what I would need to do to fit my 740 estate with self
levelling suspension?  Several years ago I had a 1989 740 which had it
fitted as standard but my current car doesn't.  I use the car for towing
1992 240 No fourth gear...05 Sep 2006 20:59 GMT6
I've tried the stuff I could find on the web, now I'm a bit stumped.
I have a 1992 Volvo 240, 151,000 miles.  Automatic.
One day, I'm going down the road, the "Up Arrow" turns on, car
downshifts...
driver's seat belt stuck05 Sep 2006 13:35 GMT4
Our 96 850 driver's seat belt is stuck, won't move tighter or looser.
Fortunately it is in a position that both my wife and I can use for
driving but want to fix it pronto. Does the trim behind the front door
easily snap off? How do I approach the repair? Would hate to ruin that
2004 xc70 idle speed05 Sep 2006 13:33 GMT1
What would be the correct idle speed in a 2004 xc70? (34,000 miles)
Mine seems a little rough at 750rpm, while at standstill. No problem
with acceleration though.

More '93 240 A/C Questions - Electrical05 Sep 2006 02:38 GMT3
I have been trying to figure out why the A/C doesn't work properly on
our newly acquired 240.  So far I have determined with a pressure gauge
that the freon was a little low and I added enough to get the low side
running pressure to around 40 PSI.

2006 S60 T5 sluggish acceleration and coolant temperture very low04 Sep 2006 20:57 GMT3
On my way home from shopping today, I noticed my S60 was very sluggish when
accelerating.  It felt like it lost half it's torque when accelerating.  I
had to rev the engine to much higher rpm before shifting to a higher gear.
I then noticed that my coolant temperature gage has ...
