However, when I just went to move it into my parking spot from the street,
there was a bang.
Opening the hood, the caps were blown off the battery and while there is

Okay, the work on my has 1978 264GL has begun. The autotransmission is
shifting a little hard, no doubt it needs to be flushed, just
monitoring that. Didn't pick up the hood hinges yet as I've decided in
stead to concentrate for now on the body. I've discovered that the rear

Gents,
Here's another small issue: the battery was dead in my '96 850 GLT and I
had to put the code back in, after jumping the battery. However, I
forgot the code and put in the wrong code three times and it seems to be

i drive a 262, which panel-wise is just like any 200 series volvo. the

the little geared wheel has broken or jammed someway... happened before,
about 4 years ago, and I was able to find a replacement speedometer head in
the local junkyard. At that time, I noticed there were ...
Don't take your Volvo to a general purpose shop, use a specialist, either dealer or independent20 Oct 2006 17:03 GMT4
I don't know how many times people who are not really familiar with
Volvos have made a hash of things or cost customers lots of extra money,
but the problem is quite large.
Every vehicle has it's quirks and you want someone working on yours who

Replacing 2001 Volvo V70 XC AWD Transfer Case20 Oct 2006 12:11 GMT3
Hello, My Volvo recently broke down and I had it towed to nearest

Car cranks but won't start20 Oct 2006 05:27 GMT15
I am not very mechanically inclined by any means. But I'm trying to
figure out why my Volvo won't start right now. It's a Volvo 240D 1986.
It's been very wet out lately and it stalled on me the other day. I
went to start it this morning and it wouldn't budge. The engine is

iPod adapters for 1999 V7019 Oct 2006 22:13 GMT4
I got a 1999 Volvo V70 2.5 TDI Prestige (103 kw) which has not any iPod
adapter, thus I'm currently connecting the iPod to the cassette player.
Looking in the web, I saw AUX adapters for V70's not older than 2001. Anyone
know if there are adapters for my Volvo model/year also?
AW70: overdrive off light always on19 Oct 2006 21:30 GMT6
I have a 1990 Volvo 240 with AW70. I've owned the car since last
summer and today I was replacing some of the last failed bulbs which
had been in that state already when I bought the car.
I was slightly surprised to find that the "overdrive off" indicator

push into the back of the front seats.
