I have two problems with this vehicle:
-  At around 70mph, during hot days, the car has a loud whistle,
constant pitch, it comes on and off when you go faster or slower.  Tried
windows, A/C vents selection to no avail.

it seems that I am not the only one who has an ignition key with a sticky,
yakky, dirty rubber...
Has anybody got an idea what happens with the rubber and what can be done
about it?

Good source for one?  SOmetimes the car won't start, have to jump
power diorect from fuel pump  to the battery, then fuel pressure is
restored. I figure its probably a bad relay.

'95 850 non-turbo, 130,000 km, auto
I just noticed some oil in the coolant tank and after a bit of reseach
figure it is either the head gasket or the oil cooler in the radiator. There
doesn't appear to be any coolant in the oil though. Is there any relatively

How do I fix my air recirculation? I smell gas, oil, and anything
outside even when I press the recirculation button. Any suggestions?

3.2 ltr 6-cylinder engine.  Nice car --- we've used it as a loaner from our
dealer, but we still like our V8 better (it gets better gas mileage).

My tailgate won't stay up so I ordered a pair of new struts from
eeuroparts on ebay but I can't figure out how to get them installed.
They are about 1/4 inch longet than the old ones and with the tailgate
pushed up as hard as possible they still are too long to snap the

My S80 while im driving all of a suddens it dies I lose power to the
car, I have no power steering, If i try to restart the car it starts up
just fine. The volvo dealer cant find the trouble it even died on them
and they cant find the trouble.

I was recently charged 11 (ELEVEN) hours of labor for changing the
exhaust manifold gasket on my 87 Volvo 740 Turbo.
They told me 3 studs broke, and that this is the kind of job that you
don't want to rush.

I'm trying to remove the rear brake disc on a 2004 volvo s60. I have

My 1998 Volvo C70 has developed a fault with the passengers chair. When
lifting the handle to move the chair forward, nothing happens. This is the
same with the red handle on the chair. As a consequence, I know have to jump
in and out of the car when ever I carry more than 1 ...

I've just got a 1995 Volvo 850 (UK). I've been trying to remove the
luggage cover, the fabric cover you can pull over the load space. The
owners manual says just to slide it to the left to disengage it from
the right side and pull it out. The cover will move to the left, but

I found that the wires to the sender connector had been poorly
repaired, and both had corroded through, breaking connection. But
after repairing the connector, the speedometer still doesn't work. SO
now I need to get to the connections at the back of the instrument

I have V70 2001 model.
Last month I chaneged oil. Since then engine sound is getting harsh(?).
When I strat engine, sound is ok. But when i just start push gas pedal.
noise is getting ugly(?).
