labour is very expensive so decided that there had to be a cheap fix.
Here it is:

I have a 940 automatic volvo with 156000 on clock. This problem has got
me stumped and the mechanic is scratching his head too. The car is
dying at intermittent times. It started with just loosing power when
the gas was pressed but it would pick up and carry on with no problems.

I am a long time BMW owner and self repairer (520i 1984) My old BM gives
me no trouble whatsoever and it is still low tech enough to fix myself.
Still I think I want that big station wagon only Volvo can give.  I'm a
bit worried about some of the problems I read on this forum- ...

850 - intermittent stall & won't restart05 Nov 2006 06:58 GMT3
Hi folks...
I know someone with an 850 (automatic gearbox).  Every now and again
the car will stall and not restart unless left to rest for a few

can a AW70 replace an AW7205 Nov 2006 01:21 GMT2
I have a 1990 765 TiC and my transmission is failing...my options
appear to be rebuild or replace.  I have contacted a guy who had a 1990
744 and is parting it out.  The transmission is available and I believe
it to be an AW70, the question is, will it easily replace an AW72?

replace it, but I'm having trouble with its hold-down bracket.  I've
never replaced a Volvo battery before so I'm not sure how the bracket

I've pretty new Volvo S40 (2005), and I'm wondering is it possible to connect some AUX device (like MP3 player) to Volvo sound system? The sound system is integrated, and it's the basic version of S40 sound systems, but still I've this feeling that there's some AUX connector ...
