| 2003 S60 Driver's Rear Wheel 'Clunk' | 27 Dec 2006 17:31 GMT | 2 |
I have a 2003 S60 and when driving there is a 'clunking' sound that is coming from the rear wheel on the driver's side. It speeds up and slows down with the speed of the car. However, when I apply the emergency brake the noise stops. It comes back again as I release the

| Volvo 740 water on floor! | 27 Dec 2006 12:01 GMT | 1 |
I have a 1989 Volvo 740 with sunroof. In the last year or so I noticed that if the car is out in a long rain, a pool of water starts to form on the floor of the left-rear (driver-side back seat). It can get to 1/2" of water or so!

1999 Volvo S80 There is a hissing noise when I press the gas pedal. It gets quieter when I don’t, louder when I press harder. It also gets louder the longer I drive. Sounds like a soft hiss, and then turns out into

Merry Christmas to all! Has anyone ever put a powerchip into a 2.5T motor? If so I am interested in finding out if you thought it was a worthwhile thing to do. What are the pluses and minuses?

Hello to fellow volvo owners and enthusiasts. I've viewed this group often....lots of great info. I own a 89' 740 and I'm having a problem with the bulb out indicator light located in the speedo display. With headlights on, it stays on, if I put the high beams on, it goes off. ...

| 1989 740GL Running Rough | 22 Dec 2006 22:48 GMT | 4 |
I had an episode today with my 740 with ~197K miles. Started fine, but when I pressed the gas pedal, the engine would rev and drop off repeatedly. If I feathered the gas, it ran fine, but I had to pull off to the side of the road to travel up a hill since I couldn't give the

| 850 remote door locks? | 22 Dec 2006 14:57 GMT | 2 |
I have had a base model '97 850 for 3 or 4 years now with no problems, save the ABS issue. I recently was told that all (?) 850's have remote door locks. My car does have power locks, so since I got it used could I just need to buy a remote

| HELP: Turn signal blinking problem | 22 Dec 2006 09:14 GMT | 3 |
I have a 1998 S70. Today on the highway my turn signals stopped functioning properly. Now when you use the turn signal stalk to turn on the left or right signal, the signals light up, but do not blink. (They turn off if you reset the stalk at its neutral position). If I press

| Is this reasonable? Wiper "transmission" and left passenger door lock s80 1999 | 21 Dec 2006 17:21 GMT | 6 |
Took the car in for a quote at an import repair shop (not Volvo). Their quote to repair the "Wiper Motor transmission?" was $841. To fix the left passenger door lock (it won't unlock with the remote; only manually) was $450.00. These just see high enough to be obscene.

| Short-lived brake light bulbs on a 740 estate? | 21 Dec 2006 12:14 GMT | 6 |
Why am I forever changing lightbulbs in this thing? Just the rear side brakelights, never anything else. Decent quality bulbs, of numerous different brands, yet they keep snapping the filament (no discolouration). Is there some sort of vibration problem or cold

| Removeing magnetic L plates V70 | 21 Dec 2006 11:46 GMT | 3 |
My daughter is starting to learn to drive on our V70 estate. Its not a problem as both my other children learnt on our old 740. I want to be able to take the L plates off the car when she is not driving but as you know magnetic plates will not stay on a Volvo.
