Greetings a.a.v
This might appear an over-cautious attitude on my part but I thought it
better to ask, just in case ....
The rear windscreen washer nozzle on my 1998 V40 is well and truly
850 TDI automatic gearbox ATF change?09 Jan 2007 22:59 GMT7
On my 1996 850 TDI station wagon with automatic transmission - is it possible to
empty the ATF completely by draining it from a gearbox bottom screw similar to
the engine oil? Or is there something always remaining inside? Or are there
models without draining screws?
oil-change cause rough idle?09 Jan 2007 21:24 GMT7
per our '97 volvo 960 wagon, we had the oil changed at a drop-in
mechanic/tire shop chain a few weeks ago and, about three days later, the
engine started idling rough. a mechanic friend of the original owner (he's
out of state) familiar with volvos said that non-volvo guys who ...
850 Windscreen change?09 Jan 2007 21:13 GMT4
I am thinking about having my windscreen on a 1996 850 station wagon changed at
a non-Volvo repair shop. Does changing the screen need any interference with the
airbag systems (SRS)?

Torx rotors screws stuck on 96 Volvo 85009 Jan 2007 08:49 GMT15
In trying to replace the distributor cap and rotor I ran into a problem
getting the torx screws out that hold the rotor on.   They won't budge.
I'm pretty sure it's the original rotor on there because it's really
worn out so I'm confident that it's causing my gas mileage problem.
LPG Conversion for 240 generation successful?09 Jan 2007 02:47 GMT4
Has anyone heard of a successful conversion of a 240 generation Volvo
to LPG?  My 1979 Volvo is a GT242 like one of these shown here:
http://www.volvoadventures.com/242GT.html
The Australian government bodies will subsidise the full cost of these
240 Diesel overheating with ice-cold radiator part II08 Jan 2007 23:05 GMT9
Thanks all of you for the answers, and suggestions!
Today I finally got good weather and had a deep look in the car, I

SRS light stays lit upon starting, wipers and radio don't work08 Jan 2007 14:16 GMT1
Got a 1990 740 Turbo with an assortment of interesting problems.  When
started, half the time the SRS light stays lit.  When this happens, the
wipers and radio (and lord knows what else) don't work.  The radio is
stock, and hasn't been replaced or messed with as far as I can tell.

I have had my V70 2002 for only one week. bought from very reputable
dealer with flawless service history. Drove it fine this morning then
parked in the driveway. Went to put the car away in the garage and it
will not start. All the dash lights go on (no battery problem) but will
Rear cylinder head oil plug 1985 24508 Jan 2007 02:04 GMT1
Does this plastic plug ($2.49) insert from the inside or outside. In other
words do I need to remove the valve cover  or can I fit it between the
firewall and hole in rear of head? I have solved the overpressure problem
but need to replace the plug which blew out.
V40 Can't find sensor for standard alarm under bonnet?07 Jan 2007 20:23 GMT1
Hi I wonder if any one can help me I have a problem with my volvo v40
1997 if you arm the alarm with the remote the alarm goes of say 3 secs

ipod options in a 2006 XC9007 Jan 2007 15:16 GMT2
Has anyone found a successful way to integrate an ipod into the 2006 XC90?
Since the antenna is in the rear of the vehicle, I suppose a FM
transmission solution doesn't work well.
