2001 v70 wagon with 2.4 engine. At times when I stop the car, and get out, there is a very distinct smell of gasoline. What's going on...how to correct?

Hi there, I have a 97 850 with 182k km. Lately, I've been getting an ugly whirring sound when I have to do more than a 60 degree turn. How is the power steering taken care of on this car? Could this be a bad pully/tensioner or something? I also have a pretty bad steering wheel

My daughter ran the battery down on our 98 V70 and had to get boosted. Of course the radio showed "CODE". She tried a few different codes and failed to get it to switch on. It now reads "OFF" and when I enter the correct code nothing happens.

The Alarm goes off unpredictably in any period between a few hours and a couple of days if the car's been parked that long. It sounds for about a minute, resets, then may not go off again for many hours more.

My V50 has red vertical stripes on the driver's side rear window (over the cargo area) but not on the passenger side. Does this mean it is heated - same sort of colour as the heating stripes on the tailgate window) or what? Why only one side?

"As though it went into neutral!" It will start and run fine but, will not move... ie: wont move when I put into D, R, 3 or 2. Does ANYONE out there know what my problem might be?
