I have a noise when the air con is switched on, its almost like a low metal screech noise, the noise is constant even if the fan is put on high. Car regularly serviced 10,000miles ago at 108000. What can go wrong in the A/C

Does anyone have any recommendations whether or not to buy a used overdrive solenoid from a junk yard? Can they really go bad if they are still attached to a transmission sitting out in a yard?? Any input would be appreciated!!

The cable broke right where it attaches to the spring mechanism, in the center of the hood. Is there any "easy" way to get the hood open and replace it? I might try to remove the gill to get easier access....

I was told many years ago "take the car down the freeway and let it rev in a lower gear then tune it " So I use real synthetic oil and do as above besides making sure the coolant is up to date ,the tyres are at least a recommended pressure or above.It

All, I'm curious to hear if people think $2600 CDN is too much for a 1991 240 Wagon. The car has A/C, power windows/doors and is rust free. The only part scaring me away is the KMs. I know the 4 cylinder engine

The bolts for the rear wiper on my 92 740 wagon are gone. I got this car used with the motor like this. It's pretty funny to watch and all, but I'm wondering if anyone knows what size and thread the originals were. I'd like to have a back wiper as the rainy season approaches.

I have a 1989 760 turbo in Pittsburgh, PA, that I need to get rid of. It has 210,000 miles and numerous small problems, but I recently acquired a 1991 740 non-turbo that's in better condition, so the 760 must go. I suspect it's not worth much, but I hate to send it to the boneyard ...
