Replacing battery in keyless remote26 Mar 2007 17:13 GMT3
We have a 2000 V70, just wanted to check before we do it - if we replace the
battery ourselves in the remote for keyless entry it's not going to do
something silly like reset the codes or anything like that is it?  Is it
just as simple as getting a new battery and swapping it, or ...
Which fuel pump relay?26 Mar 2007 15:46 GMT5
I am putting an electric fuel pump into an older car & want to use a fuel
pump relay that will sense when the engine quits and shut off the pump.  I
know that with early fuel injection systems, many vehicles had this type
of relay.

1990 240 Wagon B230f W/197K
I just put in a set of FCP Groton Injector seals, and I was wondering
what people thought of the caps they give you.
I cut off the old hardened ones that looked like they could have been

I took my 2000 S80 Turbo Volvo in for a Timing Belt change yesterday.
It was supposed to be a one day repair but I got a call yesterday
saying they were waiting for a 'gasket' and that to call today.  When
I called today I was informed that the Tensioner that they put on

Can't find transmission leak (part deux)24 Mar 2007 18:40 GMT2
Follow up, 1985 245 with tranny fluid leaking after overfill, then
very minor leak afterwards.
I pulled off the speedo gear from the rear of the tranny and found a
partially broken sprocket, a bad main O-ring and deteriorated thread
1990 240 front end story and Q24 Mar 2007 13:03 GMT4
First the Q: What is the thread size/diameter/pitch for the front
wheel studs on a 1990 245?
I know it has been some time since I posted here. Been busy with life
and enjoying my 1990 240 wagon, 5 spd. stick. What a wonderful car to

Fixed the 740...but headlights inop!24 Mar 2007 08:21 GMT21
It didn't run *not* because it was being flooded out by too much gas.
The mechanic who had worked on it had the camshaft  set so that with
#1 piston a TDC, the rotor was on #3 sparkplug! I reinstalled the fuel
rail, reset the camshaft timing, and it fired right up, runs fine!
Can't find transmission leak24 Mar 2007 05:04 GMT4
1985 245
OK, so I bought this wagon a few weeks ago and got all the oil leaks
stopped. I degreased the underside and did only short city trips (less
than 10 miles) for the last couple weeks. I saw no leaks on the engine

Gotta replace brake rotors and pads at the same time (99 V70 AWD)?23 Mar 2007 01:01 GMT4
Getting this message from Wheelworks technician, claims "manufacturer
requirement".  There is nothing wrong with the rotors.  Car has
something like 70k miles on it.
Wouldn't surprise me, seems like I have to get a new engine every time
B5252S DOHC / catalytic converter puzzle22 Mar 2007 22:19 GMT2
I'm trying to determine the engine type I have.
I was told I need a new catalytic converter, and can't afford to pay
my shop 1200,00 canadian dollars.
So I looked around and found some for way less. But, it seems I need
Rear wiper arm on wagon22 Mar 2007 20:31 GMT2
This might fall into the category of dumbest question ever (a line I
often walk).  My rear wiper on the 95 850 turbo wagon only covers
