| Transmission question | 05 Apr 2007 06:11 GMT | 2 |
I have an '89 745 GL. It is stressing me out lately. I need to know if you have any ideas about why it would stay in gear longer than normal. The transmission seems to stay in second longer than it should before shifting.

| How can an in-tank fuel pump be wired wrong? | 05 Apr 2007 00:32 GMT | 2 |
I just want to be sure I am not missing something, because I did hard- wire a 1988 model unit onto a 1987 car, and they units are different, but the wires are the same. I tested the wires on the unit with an ohmmeter to make sure I knew

| starting and electrical 1985 Volvo 240 DL | 04 Apr 2007 02:30 GMT | 1 |
I was wondering why my car doesn't like to start after it drives through slush and rain. It just sounds like it's flooded and if it doesn't start it has a terrible time trying to. If left for a while like a day or half a day it will start once it's dried.

I just replaced my in-tank sending unit from one from the parts yard. I swapped out the whole assembly. The car started fine, then enroute to the gas station began to run VERY rough. I added 1/3 tank fuel and the gauge works, but I had to

| 245 still | 01 Apr 2007 20:03 GMT | 1 |
Well, as my search for the 945 to replace my 245 has not succeeded yet, and since the old 245 was leaking more oil than the Exxon Valdez, I had the front seals fixed, alternator belts replaced, and new timing belt kit and water pump installed.

Digging out the Volvos today from the foot or so of snow we got yesterday, I noticed that my wife's 1993 245 had dripped some very clean looking fluorescent yellow fluid on the snow. It was located about a foot ahead of the rear wheel marks, just to the right of the centerline. ...
