| Accuracy of Fuel Consumption data via Trip Computer | 31 May 2007 15:36 GMT | 9 |
Newbie to this group although been trolling for a few weeks. I've looked for a charter and/or FAQ but no luck so please accept apologies if this post is not appropriate here. I have a Volvo C30 but not sure if this group is for current or classic Volvos - I am sure you will let ...

| 91 740 Regina Engine - does it have a MAF sensor | 31 May 2007 04:22 GMT | 2 |
I'm looking at my Chiltons manual, and it shows the various engine configurations, and it does not show a MAF for a 91 740 Regina, non-turbo. The 960 shows an MAF which resembles part I received from a dealer.

| Buying a 240 | 30 May 2007 01:03 GMT | 14 |
I found a 1985 240 Wagon, thats in my price range (300-600) and is in decent shape. Seats are firm, clean and nice, dash is nice, new tires, strong clutch, OD works and has 207K miles on it. And it handles real nice when I drove it.

Does anyone know if an 89 240 and 740 8 valve 4 cylinder bosch injected engine use the same injectors? Are they interchangable?

| V70 diesel injector removal for overhaul | 29 May 2007 18:49 GMT | 4 |
I am trying to remove the diesel injectors from my 1997 V70. They seem to be stuck in position and "reasonable" pulling force doesn't seem to remove them. They do seem to be able to turn, so I guess they are in O ring seals and

| V70 instrument panel illumination issue | 29 May 2007 13:34 GMT | 6 |
I just purchased a 1999 V70 Wagon, used. I am really new to Volvo's, and am very impressed with the quality. Just taking it around, and feeling it out. I took it for a ride last night, and noticed something strange.

| I think my 240's dead | 29 May 2007 07:58 GMT | 1 |
Last summer I purchased an '89 DL wagon, my second brick. It ran perfectly for months, then started smoking out of nowhere one day. Then it started clicking...then stalled all the time. Now it won't even turn over. So here's my question...do you guys think the engine's

| Opinion of Lucas trans. additive? | 29 May 2007 01:31 GMT | 8 |
I am using Lucas motor oil additive in the motor oil. It was highly recommended to me as an alternative to those teflon-based additives. I was also told that the transmission additive is good for the tranny as well. Is it worth the $$$ to use the tranny additive as well?

| Variable intermittent wiper | 28 May 2007 22:12 GMT | 3 |
I had kept an old post about the VW part that fits 240s to make a variable intermittent wiper. My hard drive crashed and I lost my history. Would appreciate knowing the VW part number that accomplishes this.

| 2001 V70 Brake Rotors | 28 May 2007 10:06 GMT | 1 |
I'm replacing the front brakes on a 2001 V70. Got the calipers, brackets, pads and small 6mm bolt out. There is nothing else obviously holding the rotor on except rust (!), and that's currently soaking in PB Blaster. Before I go back (after finishing this beer) to tap on it

| Excessive Crankcase Pressure Unresolved After Complete PCV Component Replacement | 28 May 2007 02:51 GMT | 5 |
I have a growing problem with excessive crankcase pressure in my 90 240. I checked the usual suspects: the flame trap and hoses. All were clear. I assumed the "breather box" was clogged or severly restricted. I replaced the box and everything above it with new

| 740 radio problems | 27 May 2007 20:00 GMT | 3 |
My 1991 740 wagon radio isn't working properly. When it's on there's a terrible electronic noise coming from all speakers. The noise is worse when I operate anything electric (power windows or turn signals for example). It never gets better, only worse. Needless to say I don't ...

| High Mileage Club - Switching to Stickers | 27 May 2007 16:08 GMT | 3 |
I just called in for my 200k medallion and the guy told me that he thought they had some more medallions in stock, but when these run out, they are going to be replaced by a letter and a sticker. So, if you like the hunk of metal, don't delay in requesting yours.
