| Wow, it actually runs! | 17 May 2007 19:35 GMT | 7 |
Some of you have been following my Megasquirt EFI conversion on a 240T. Tonight I finished up the assembly, turned the key, and the thing actually fired up! I was shocked, I hadn't even done much in the way of configuring. Still needs a lot of tuning, and I still need to get some ...

| Hi beams won't turn off | 17 May 2007 19:01 GMT | 5 |
If my wife uses the hi-beams on her 1993 245, they won't turn off. Is this likely to be a relay problem? And if so, is it like the tendency for the OD relay solder joints to fail?

Hi Folks... My 87 240 wagon has gone to the great car repair in the sky due to a too-expensive to repair accident. I'm driving a 92 940 sedan which is ok BUT......it isn't my wagon. With the little insurance money and

Its my 92 740 turbowagon. The antenna was gone, snapped off at base. I bought a new antenna and installed it. The plastic track to make it go up/down went in OK. However, the motor doesn't work, so I just installed it extended. I opened up the panels and to my surprise

| It's alive! | 14 May 2007 20:45 GMT | 13 |
Well today I went about wiring up the ignition to Megasquirt. Nothing is finalized, there's wires draped all over at the moment but the 242 fired up this afternoon and runs as well as it ever has. So far I'm only using MS to run the ignition, but once my gaskets show up I'll ...

| Check Engine Light, No Codes | 14 May 2007 20:40 GMT | 4 |
OK, this is a puzzler. The CEL is on in my 1995 850 (non-turbo). It comes on about 5 seconds after the car is started and remains on. There are NO codes. The only blink code is the "I'm OK and there are no other codes" code. My OBD

| 92 / 240 vibrates | 13 May 2007 20:41 GMT | 4 |
The 92 240 sedan I bought today vibrates when I take off (roughly from 0km/h to 15km/h) and when I slow down (rougly 15 km/h to 0 km/h) to stop. The previous owner advised me that the car "may need brake work like roters" which I can attribute some of the stopping vibration to. ...

| 850 -92 converted automatuc>manual, ignition problem | 13 May 2007 15:12 GMT | 2 |
1. When the auto gearbox collapsed I decided to rebuild with a manual instead. All is well and fine, the car performs nicely with only one hitch. Every now and then, when to engine is strained it seems as if the ignition "fails", the car has a hiccup or however to describe it ...

| 855 TDI ATF change works miracles on gearbox - change regularly!!! | 12 May 2007 15:44 GMT | 1 |
No question (I had asked some time ago without getting a reply) but a recommendation for other new 850 automatic transmission owners. I bought mine with 210.000 km, 10 years old, well serviced but without ATF change. Volvo recommends no change for lifetime except under hard ...

| [240] Interesting brake deal | 12 May 2007 14:42 GMT | 1 |
Master cylinder went out on my '83 245 so I figured as long as I had to visit all four corners to bleed the brakes, I might as well replace the pads. I discover they were only half worn but one was squeaking, chattering,
