Rear drum brakes, 1998 V70 AWD17 Jun 2007 20:55 GMT9
As a follow up to my issue with the rear drum rotor, I bought a new
rotor and rear e-brake shoes.
However, when I took the existing shoes off, it seems that I was given
the wrong part.  The current rear shoes look to have (forgive my

Considering buying one.  Bad transmission, good price. I am told that I
can get a remanufactured trans installed by the dealer for $2700.  Are
they prone to transmission problems? Anything else to be aware of.  TIA.

740 fueling issue solved16 Jun 2007 16:13 GMT5
Finally think I figured out the problem I've been having with my 740T.
It started out as a rough idle and noisy fuel pump and eventually seemed
to get a bit worse. I noticed power loss, increased fuel consumption,
and the acceleration was not smooth. Curiously, it would normally ...
Turbo Inferior to Non Turbo??16 Jun 2007 03:42 GMT8
I've heard that a turbo engine will wear itself out before a non turbo
engine.  I've heard that it's better to downgrade to an older non
turbo than keep a newer turbo because it will last longer.  I've heard
I should sell my car before things get really bad.  My car is a '90

I just recently purchased a 2002 v70 and noticed that if i ease off
the gas pedal while driving and then accelerate again, the
transmission seems to take a second to catch or engage and i can feel
a slight thud when it does so.  It's all still relatively smooth and I

My air conditioning has been blowing hot. I took it to a mechanic and
they said the switch was off? Now it doesn't work again. Could it be
the temperature gauge, compressor? possibly a loose belt? anyone know?
