the ac in my 2002 s40 shuts off by itself.  when it does the fan won't work
in any setting.  none of the other buttons work either, seats, rear defrost.
any help?

Lately my '83 240 has been using more and more fuel at a steady rate.
There is no loss of power, and the car runs as smooth as it ever
has.

I have opportunity for buying V70, year 2002, 2.4 125 kW automatic gear.
I wll apreciate any suggestion, information on problems with specific part
(automatic gear, motor...etc) or advice.
Should I go for it or not?

I've got a 91 740 wagon.  My right windshield washer nozzle always seems
to be the one to plug up.  How do I get them out?  I want to try to soak
it in vinegar or something, to see if I can dissolve the mineral
deposits, or whatever is clogging it.

Another one for the A/cC experts. I need to "finally" recharge my A/C system
but I want to go to the R134a. first question; Is it okay to do so on a 740?
Next question; Where, or should I ask, which ones are the fittings for the
low/high side? TIA

Our 1995 850 seems to have broken a rod today at 114K miles.  The piston
doesn't move when the crank does but the other 4 cylinders move and have
good compression.  I was able to move the piston by tapping firmly on it.
Anyone seen this before and know the chances of salvaging ...

I have read reports that replacing the stock air filters can improve air
intake and help engine performance and efficiency.
Looking at the K & N website, the only air filters to suit a 1998 V70 seem

I bought the car second hand with 60,000 miles on it and the clutch
was squeaking then when ever I pressed down on it - all it did was
