Nesting07 Jun 2007 23:42 GMT1
I'm so glad to have my old 91 740 working again, I'm actually starting
to clean it up and make it look spiffier.
The bumpers were a light oxidized gray.  Fella at the auto parts store
recommended this "Back2Black" product, which is a white creamy liquid

What tools, and how to change neutral safety start switch?
91 740 non turbo07 Jun 2007 15:46 GMT2
Thinking of buying a 91 740. Is there anything I should be looking for, and
what is it worth? Body is in good shape and it has 260K on the engine.
Volvo repair manuals06 Jun 2007 21:59 GMT6
I'm looking for a good and detailed repair manual for my 1989 Volvo
Turbo 760.  Although pretty much any and every device available for
sale these days comes with a digital manual, usually in Adobe Reader
format (PDF) provided online by the manufacturer, Volvo manuals seem
Loud popping noise from driver's side wheel on 24006 Jun 2007 19:15 GMT6
I've just started getting a loud metallic popping/knock noise (sounds
like one loud bang on a tin can with a metal hammer) coming from the
driver's side wheel area whenever I'm braking fairly hard within the
last few days. Sometimes it happens when braking not so hard, but it
Turbo Intake Pipe - What goes on this fitting?06 Jun 2007 08:00 GMT3

765T running super-rich05 Jun 2007 22:07 GMT2
My '90 765T, 140K miles, was giving me progressively worse gas mileage,
sarting maybe a couple of months ago. Then it started surging at idle a few
weeks back. The surge rapidly got worse and after about 50 miles was
swinging from about 2000rpm to a stall. Barely made it home.
2000 V70 tailgate lock not working with remote05 Jun 2007 16:17 GMT1
We have a 2000 V70 with a tailgate lock that only works sometimes
with the remote. Cooler weather (San Francisco area) makes it worse. The
remote works all the other locks fine and the manual lock (key) on the
tailgate locks and unlocks the tailgate. When the remote does not ...
Engine and Gaas Smell05 Jun 2007 07:44 GMT5
I own a 1988 240DL Station Wagon. Latley I have been smelling what
seems to be an exaust or gasoline smell inside the car. A friend of
mine suggessted it might be a leaky gas line or something to do with
venting in the car. I'd like to get some ideas before I take it to a
Shifter locked03 Jun 2007 23:12 GMT1
My '93 240 would not come out of park for the first time this morning.
I had to depress the shift lock override and then it worked. I put it
back in park and had to go through the whole process again to get it
out of park.
sourcing transmission oil pan for '91 74003 Jun 2007 21:06 GMT2
In attempting to remove the tranny oil pan to address a stripped drain
bolt, I ended up with three pieces - the pan, with the bolt still
stubbornly in place; the fill tube; and the female piece that the fill
tube goes into, which broke off the pan when I tried to pull the fill
Correct Idle Adjustment of '83 24003 Jun 2007 13:32 GMT2
My brick has been starting to idle horribly lately so i decided to
give the throttle body a good clean out, and suddenly the idle speed
has risen to around 1600 RPM.  I know there is a large dial that can
adjust the idle speed, but something tells me there is more to it than
To Whitewall or Not to Whitewall?  That is my question...03 Jun 2007 02:53 GMT11
Tomorrow I'm getting three new tires put on my car.  I was forced to
replace the other tire a couple of months ago after a blowout.  A
couple of weeks after they put that tire on, I happened to notice,
when approaching the car from a distance, that the new tire they'd put
740 radio problems02 Jun 2007 17:33 GMT5
My 1991 740 wagon radio isn't working properly.  When it's on there's a
terrible electronic noise coming from all speakers.  The noise is worse when
I operate anything electric (power windows or turn signals for example).  It
never gets better, only worse.  Needless to say I ...
Duracool for your A/C...02 Jun 2007 14:21 GMT9
I have a 1999 S70 which has been a great car so far. This spring I
noticed that the A/C was a bit weak and it seemed to be getting worse.
It got so bad that the compressor would cycle on for 1-2 secs and then
go off. Must be either very low on or out of R134a. So when I was in
